I have this truck on consignment. I sold it last year to the current owner. It lived it's life in New Mexico since new. The current owner has back issues and the FJ40 is just not the right vehicle for him. After talking with him yesterday we decided to reduce the price. There is a lot of value here. 1980 BJ 41 Expedition rig, Just completed South America

So I have come to the sad realization that I don’t use or drive this truck enough and would like to begin looking for a new home for it. Somewhere where someone will have time to spend with the rig, enjoy it and take it on new fun adventures. Where to start… Brief history: 1980 BJ41 (JDM). I bought it in 2009 in New Zeeland and spent a month touring the north and south islands with it. I shipped it back to my home town of Baltimore Ro-Ro and picked it up in Baltimore. Selling 1974 original FJ40 with removable hard top. We want to sell it soon as we have home projects that we need to get done in this space this Summer. It has been stored under cover in our barn. It sat for about 7 years without use, then in 2010 we got it running in less than a day by putting in a new battery, spark plugs, and some carborator cleaner. Hello everyone. Just wanted to post an ad for my 40. Asking 14k? Has 193k miles. Original engine was replaced 20 years ago with a used Japanese unit from SOR. Has 4 folders of receipts going back to the 80s. Very well maintained and reliable. I've owned it for 5 years. Minor rust on rear sill corners. Drivers floor has a couple of rust holes. Pretty rust free everywhere else. Was purchased new in Santa Fe and spent most of its life in California around Napa and San Francisco. Hey folks, I am finishing up a medium sized restoration on a 1977 BJ40. Should be ready to go by early August. This has been my daily driver since 2012. It's a Costa Rica import.
