This is a 1976 FJ40, I DO NOT have the title to this cruiser. I bought this as it sits as a rock crawler project that I don’t have time for. It is currently running, but has a broken rear driveshaft. It will drive in front wheel drive. It has a 5.3 LS mated to a 4L60E and an atlas 4 speed transfer case. Front axle has an ARB air locker and longfield chromo shafts and birfs. Rear axle has a lockrite and has been set up with a 4 link that is questionable. According to the previous owner, the motor and transmission were out of a wrecked Yukon with low miles, but I have no way to confirm that claim. This was my dads FJ, he was the only owner and passed away in 2019. I had the FJ shipped from Northern California to Texas. I tore it all down and restored at home in my garage. Everything is pretty stock, its has the original motor which had been rebuilt which has about 20k miles on it. It has a weber carb, a mallory ignition, aluminum fan, electric fuel pump, new starter. It has brand new old man emu shocks, new wheels and and tires, disc brakes, the electrical has all been redone, all new upholstery, all the wheel bearings have been redone. Nice 74 in good condition. Paint is in great shape and possibly original. I've owned this rig for about two years and just don't drive it enough. The PO purchased it form Oregon and bought to Texas. It's spent the last 8 years between Austin and Alpine.
A couple of highlights:
Recently did a fj60 disc brake conversion, so rebuilt front axle and a new master cylinder and brake booster. The brakes are amazing now.
Rebuilt asian carb
4 speed shifts well.
Has a hardtop that has never been put together, from several different vehicles. New fiberglass roof.
Has a bit of rust in the back quarterpanels in the usual spots.
Doors aren't painted with the original green.

1979 FJ40 with 68000miles, barn kept since I've owned it1996. 2F engine, new water pump and hoses, 4 speed, 2H, 4H, 4L transfer case, Ramsey winch mounted on 4" Oilfield pipe bumper bolted to frame, ambulance rear doors, spare tire /rack, rear jump seats, 4 stock steel rims/tires, rear wheel wells rebuilt with quarter inch diamond deck steel. Been used as woods trail crawler, whitetail hauler and take me home on icy county roads, mule for the past umpteen years. Father Time has impacted both me and LC, She needs a new home. Would make a great rebuild project in the right hands or parted out for fully functional engine, transmission, drive train and suspension.

Bought this a while ago from my brother’s good friend, he had to sell and I didn’t need a project but the nice guy I am I helped him out! This was a Vegas truck stored in a garage that last 4 years. Not driven very often. When I got it home I drained the fuel, installed a new Toyota distributor, new coil and a PerTronix on the distributor. Installed new battery and fuel filter, new wires and plugs and it fired right up. Pretty original truck from what I can see. Has a 2f with 4 speed and drum brakes all around. 1982 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40. Professionally Rhino Lined green exterior. Four speed manual, 4-Wheel drive works, engine runs perfectly. LED headlights and tail lights. Just put a new gauge cluster and fuel sending unit in. Comes with the roll cage and a jump seat that I have yet to install. I also have soft doors that turn into half doors that I will throw in. I bought this really cool 1969 FJ40 a couple of years ago. All original. It turned out needing the rear tub re-done, so I bought all the sheet metal and am having @arthog do the work for me. He's an experienced welder and a cruiser head. That is expected to be completed by July/August, this summer. Terry says the sheet metal will have primer on it.
I have the title for it. It runs and drives just great. Did a carb rebuild. It's still 3 on the tree. The glass is all intact. It still has the original bench seats and rear jump seats. I did convert the bath oil filter over to the adapter for a more modern filter. It's got some roller tires on it at the moment. I've got the original hubcaps. 1976 FJ-40 in mostly original condition as far as drivetrain goes, but with some improved suspension, rust abatement and other changes.
There is a full cage installed by Proffitt's some years ago, by Mr. Proffitt himself. The interior has been left mostly stock, with the exception of Celica front seats and a 2nd gen Montero fold and stow rear seat. The original troop carrier style rear seats as well as the original front seats come w the Cruiser.
Suspension wise, it is on 3" spring lift from Old Man Emu, but is running Bilstein shocks. Shackle reversal up front and longer shackles in the rear as well. Sitting on some older BFGs that could use a balance, but it hasn't prevented me from DDing it. The spare is mismatched, but all wheels...
