I'm about to order a man-a-fre u-bolt flip kit, anyone has some bad experience with those? Did any broke something, like the rear suspension pin.

I'll be installing them with a new set of OME spring

They work great.

The 40 series is not that way...that is a 60 series front axle.

The top u-bolt flip kit mounting piece used on the front axle by the diff is fabricated in such a way as to sit level on the angled surface of the front axle housing. It will not look anything like the picture you posted.

Thank you!...placing the order.

Great, talking about those bumps, i need to redo the fillet in the frame and get the left side installed. Do you hit it often? is it too tall?

That is not my Land Cruiser....it is a customer truck.

I just finished installing the F & R U-Bolt flip kits. Very impressive and stout. Dave at 4 plus designs some serious hardware.

just ordered a set from steve at man-a-fre with the steel brake lines should be here this week i already got some 3 in springs thanks to a buddy and cant wait to get them installed

when getting the rears make sure that you get them for a 75 and later shock locations or you will not have shocks for too long. I had to make new mounts so that i could run shocks agin. On the older trucks that have the shock attached to the bottom of the axel there is interferance with the top plate that will destroy the shock.

am I not seeing something right in the pictures?

don't the spring perches have to be welded to the axle?

Come on.... ;)

The spring perches are welded to the axle....

The top ubolt plates do not get welded to the axle housing....

Long day at skool?

so your saying that the flip kit i ordered wont work on the rear because its a 73????

yes! Call man-a-fre and tell them that you want them to ship you the later 75 and on rear u-bolt flip kit.

You want the one with the shock pins.
