Spotted at the cedar hills disc golf course in N. Raleigh. 52" tires. Probably a little overkill

Not enough wrenching to go into TWT so will put it here. James (@jamesurq) came over so we could swap out a rear driveshaft.

(@beno .... James is going need four early model (his is a '69) driveshaft bolts. Is such an item still available? I mentioned your name and am using this as an introduction.)

Nice 40!

Thanks Rice. Nice pics! Thanks for the lesson on pinion shims. Watched a few youtube videos to make sure I was completely aligned on how everything needed to... align. :)

I'm going to do some measurements tonight and see what size shims I need.

Cool. Just have to be sure not to confuse geometry of single u-joint system with Double-Cardan (C.V.) drivelines.

Hijack off.

Saw this 40 on Thermal Rd in Charlotte. I followed him a couple of blocks and he pulled into a driveway. I complimented his rig. He just laughed. So I asked him if he ever considered joining the local club. He said, "No" and walked away. Not the friendliest cruiser owner I've ever met. Looked like a decent 40. Shame about those ugly wheels.

Driver was thin gray hair in his late 50's or early 60's from what I could tell. The truck had a vanity plate. I won't tell you the exact digits here on the interwebz but the plate states the year and model of the truck. I thought you may have seen this one, John. It was over in your neck of the woods.

4Th St in Wilmington around 8 last night.

That is very cool, nothing but the basics

Wow!
We have 2 pigs I see regularly. A mid sixties 40, along with a few other 40. Multiple 60s and a bazillion 80-100-200s, but, I haven' seen that one around. It looks like an area right down the street from me. I'll need o keep any eye out

Spotted on Morrison Blvd where I had a meeting today.
