Good luck on finding them. I've been searching for the newer style since Nov. There are two manufactures that can get them or have them coming in but both are having a hard time getting them. The reproduction company they have been using has stopped making them. So when they get them in that will be it. If they ever do.
You will probably be luckier with the early style. The darn fenders on a 55 don't have the same slope as a 40's fender and the bases are different.

I bought some used 40 TS assemblies off EBay. They seem to show up there often and much cheaper than other sources. I'm going to go to the Toyota dealer Saturday to find out if you can order the plastic riser that makes the difference between the Pigs and the 40s. $OR shows these as a separate part number that used to be available at one time. If that doesn't work I'll just cut the 40's in half horizontally, flip it to the other side and apply some epoxy and be done. Cruiserparts.net has them if you must go original. $75/each.

I purchased late style and had similar idea, plan is to remove the base and fab a new base. If it works I'll post pic's also. I thought SOR's or Man-Fre had the early style.
