what, when you run over them cause you "didn't see that they were huggin your truck"?

Now actually, I have seen some pretty nice wooden cabs built for pickups. Might try that for my 45 one day....

Hey, I for one actually think (in person) that it could be kinda cool.

s***, the stuff we've got these days, you could use a lightweight plastic to reproduce the hardtop and save yourself from the nightmares of back pain pulling that bitch around the garage.

There you have it. Somebody build a light weight hard top prototype with lots of windows.

There was a 40 for sale on ebay a while back that had a homemade plywood top on it. Didn't look like the one in the pic tho. The one I'm talking about looked more like a pile of s*** than a hardtop. It did have side windows and some nice galvanized barn hinges for the back hatch.

Galvanized hinges? Now there's quality!

Cool, I could get a 40 & make a cedar strip hardtop to match the guideboat I made......Nah....Like nearly anything made of wood you could make it look nice or you could make it look not so nice.....Rob M Concord, MA

would look good in old growth clear/vertical grain doug fir :D

there is a old 40 in town with wood rockers......its the most solid thing on the 40
