So...what is the logic when it comes to how much methanol you are spraying? Do you spray enough meth to bring the IAT(post turbo) down to match the IAT at the MAF(pre-turbo)? My understanding is that the ECU reads the incoming air temperature at the MAF, and makes adjustments based on that info. If you cool the IAT (post-turbo) to the temperature the MAF is reading (pre-turbo), you are essentially countering any timing being removed by the ECU, or restoring any timing that the ECU would have removed, due to the IAT information at MAF. Depending on how you are looking at it.

The Methanol injection cannot drop the IAT to the temp read at the MAF. I proved that when I had the medium flow nozzle in and even with the engine stumbling and drowning in methanol, the IAT "only" came down to 90 F on a 70 F day.
If you were to put the rig on a dyno, you could tune the methanol injection for optimum cooling of the intake charge and possibly see some performance gain from the methanol. But, I am not tuning it on a dyno.
My logic was to get the IAT readings at 10 PSI below what I saw at 8.5 PSI. My goal of adding this was to safely avoid any detonation issues that will creep in as the boost goes up. I am tuning the methanol injection for the IAT drop I want at the least consumption of methanol, to avoid having to carry a lot of extra methanol on long trips.

Communication went in the toilet about a year ago and it's been radio silence since then.
The last thing I heard from Joey was 18 kits built and waiting for the actual turbo, with three inbound and shipping a couple weeks from then. That left fifteen in limbo.
This was months ago.

We all know you read these boards and follow your socials like a teenage girl, so maybe quit ignoring people and give us some news...., either good or bad, we need at least a hint that you're doing something besides making QPM's and Nut Huggers.
Here's an idea, find a different source for turbos and wastegates and get your back orders handled.

Seems like a lot invested in that business to let it circle the drain like this. Coming from owning a kinda similar business myself I know how overwhelming it can be at times. Long ago I made a choice to be in it for the long game and focus on vertical integration keeping near total control over everything we make. I farm out laser cutting, mandrel bending, anodizing, plating and powdercoat. However, all the milling, turning, gear hobbing, surface grinding, forming, stamping, welding, laser marking, packaging, shipping, product development and customer service all done under one 8k sq ft roof. I can and do farm machining out to other machine shops, but have the ability to switch gears and fix almost any supply problem in house when needed. I avoid products that wholly depend on components from a single source because it has NEVER worked. And I sure don't take a payment for a product before it's boxed for shipping. The stuff on the shelves is paid for by the business, not my customers.
Nobody can control everything or predict the future. Things go sideways and take longer than you anticipate. It's really easy to give someone an update that there's a delay when you don't have their money floating your business.
The owner of a competing business in one of the markets I sell products in once told me that he believes 95% of his business is customer service. The design, manufacturing and overall quality of the parts doesn't matter much as long as you answer the phone every time and ship fast. I come from an engineering and machining background so I disagreed with his 95% figure at that time, but the fact is, he wasn't wrong. That conversation had a profound effect on my priorities and while I still spend too much time and effort making things the best I can, I will happily lose a sale because I can't ship it immediately.
When you own a business selling products what you are producing is your brand. That brand is kinda worthless without good customer service.

The scary (and most likely version) is Joey is out of money. He needs the other widgets to make money to fulfill the turbo orders he's already taken the money for. The argument early on was he needed to batch these things to make the economics work. Now he's doing one off's. Why? I obviously think he has no money.
I'm not saying he intended to be in this spot, but it is where he ended up. The upsetting thing is you see him on instagram smoking cigars, drinking spiritous liquor, and taking vacation. No way I could do that knowing I owed so many ppl money. I'd be on a rice & beans diet doing everything I could to get these orders fulfilled. And I would have had them fulfilled a long time ago.
The irony is, those that have turbo orders need people to buy things from him. Otherwise the house of cards collapses. At this point, I wouldn't be upset if the community shunned him. But, I can't speak for everyone who has an outstanding order, nor the community as a whole. I don't take a holistic "balance the good with the bad" view either. Your truck either has 4 wheels or it doesn't drive. My heart hurts for people who put a lot of money down and got nothing. This amount of money hurts for a lot of ppl.
If I lived in PDX, I would be at his shop a couple times a month asking for an update. I'll venmo you gas money.

I live in PDX and if Medford was a hair closer, I had a bit less temper and a little more patience for being ghosted by someone I thought was a pretty decent guy, I'd be doing exactly that.
As it is, it's better for everyone if I just hang out and wait.
