I saw that post. I thought you had to have have big balls to post there. šŸ˜† Even more Joey apologist there than here. šŸ» to you.

You can reach out to Overland Metric directly, as I did when I tried to order his stuff via Joey, to see if he can resolve the issue. Overland Metric ships super fast if you order directly from him and his web site is accurate to what is or is not in stock.
Couldn't agree more. I use Overland Metric hardware in a kit I sell for the 60 Series - it's not just hardware, but part of a product. Dave's been great to work with. I'm small potatoes as far as a vendor goes, but Dave's always attentive when I need more stock and ships quickly. 10/10.

Curious as to what misinformation you are talking about, there is plenty of accurate information here

Lots of bad info here which requires double and triple checking sometimes. Easy example, is a transmission cooler lines install guide that calls out parts that don’t even meet spec. Later in the thread it’s called out but not everyone wants to read pages upon pages of BS to find the corrected info because OP never returns to fix their post.

Stuff like that is true across the whole of the internet. Look at Wikipedia.

Ha, I’ve actually had great luck with Wikipedia but valid point.

It is a forum, on the internet, so conversation and misinformation is expected, but this is the best resource of accurate information on Land Cruisers on the internet. Completely incomparable to information you'd find on Facebook, reddit, and other forums. I'd be surprised to find misinformation in a FAQ here. Regarding this thread, I think the conversation needs to lean toward holding "reliable" vendors accountable.

He hasn't posted on MUD since February of this year. That's another indication something is amiss.

Everyone has an opinion, moot.

This thread is also moot, how many post, replies and new threads do we need on this subject when clearly nothing is happening.

There are always people who will think FB is a better place. That is ok. I find ih8mud easier to go back and search old posts and do research. Try doing that with FB posts. It is a mess.

There's things happening.

Like cash in his pocket, unfortunately.

Hopefully he explains himself at some point and proves people wrong. Until then, he has just committed theft.

Afternoon Mud :flipoff2:

I stumbled onto this post, not saying people didn't have a bad experience but I feel like I'm reading something from a parallel universe.

Seriously, based on my experience it's so strange to read all of this it literally is like a parallel universe.

I lost count of how many orders I have with wits end I do know that it's in the many many thousands of dollars.

Joey's also been one of the most supportive folks in the Land cruiser community as I work through my 80 series build, nothing but positive Rock solid 10 out of 10 on my end.

Again, not saying you didn't have a bad experience from my end it's just strange because my experience has been completely different.

Some of the posts seem emotional and cancel culture related. We're all part of the same Land cruiser community I would suggest keeping your posts professional civil and kind.

Life happens to all of us, no idea for the delay or your experience but life happens. If you haven't had a life altering event like a sick spouse, parent or child, I'll tell you my world stopped ā¤ļø

Personal attacks and Fraud?

Fraud - "wrongful or criminal deception intended to result in financial or personal gain."

I think what your experiencing is a significant delay, it might be extreme, but fraud, really I think that's an emotionally loaded personal attack on a community member.

Remember two wrongs don't make a right. If you're wondering if I'm referring to your post as you read this maybe go back and review your post and ask yourself is it professional, is it civil, is it kind and is it constructive for the community.

The Land cruiser community is pretty tight-knit we're all watching and if you are being emotional, unprofessional and unkind in a lot of ways it diminishes your argument as well as giving the rest of us in the community an impression of your mode of operation and who you are as a person.

Do you really want to be remembered as a person engaging in cancer culture and personal attacks by the community?

From my end I will continue to order from Wit's end as I've had nothing but a stellar experience.

Hope everything works out in the end for y'all

Cheers šŸ»

Not fraud, just delay in perpetuity. Thanks for clearing that up!

Did you care to buy a place on the turbo kit wait forever list?

The turbo was tempting but I currently reside in the occupied State of California I'd rather than not have to pull it off and put it on.

Just refreshed my 1fz top to bottom refresh, also ordered a brand new factory Short block (new motor build, why not, love everything about the 80 and community) before they're nla, I think I'm just going to stay naturally aspirated and focus on reliability for remote areas.

I do gently have feelers out for a factory supercharger, if one of those comes around at a fair price I may be tempted.

The fact that he left his website open and accepted payments for MONTHS after he had stopped shipping items out shows intent. This is called fraud, plain and simple.

Well, I hope he stops being a ā€œcommunity memberā€ who steals money from people. If after 17 pages you can’t see the issues at hand and how dishonest he’s being, those are some pretty impressive rose tinted glasses.

The problem with this statement is that’s it’s not completely accurate. A lot of people received and continue to receive their orders. Even though a small group of people didn’t get their orders doesn’t mean dozens or hundreds of others did not which is hard to truly prove or blanket fraud.

What I've seen is that the bulk of order ā€œissuesā€ are generally associated to the Wits End branded products that are tied to manufacturing batches that have always been historically delayed.

What’s being ignored is that many people ARE still receiving orders from his website.

Is this a joke?
There are parts like the bushing press tool kit still for sale on his website accepting money from the Land Cruiser community. Clearly they don’t exist cause the last batch was sold directly from the manufacturer who Wit’s End outsourced it to and never paid for the work. This is absolutely fraud and disgusting. It’s way beyond negligence at this point.
Any person who knows this information and continues to give their money to Wit’s End might as well be spitting in the others faces. Every dollar you spend through Joey helps to prolong his Ponzi scheme.
