We have the same color LC, the same roof rack, and the same color Hardie siding. :)

If you're also married to a redhead, then we're probably living the same life. Happy with your roof rack swap? I love your truck. Hope we cross paths someday.

Nothing exciting about this photo... But after 2+ years of ownership, I still turn around and look at this vehicle when I walk away from it. I just love it.

I’ve got a brunette.😉. No regrets whatsoever on swapping out the FR to the Gam…much quieter.

We’re selling the house and traveling with our trailer for a few years. We’ll be all over the country, so maybe we’ll connect on the road at some point.

After last year at LCDC I was honest about my experience. I met some great people and learned what I didn't know. Over the last year I worked on my truck and my driving and came back with a renewed sense of purpose.

A heartfelt thank you to the people who allowed an easy fun run to turn into a massive event over the last 7 years. If it wasn't for you... I would have never experienced this. THANK YOU!

What a great week in Colorado with my son. Estes Park down thru Glenwood Springs on to Ouray.
Great people and great trails the entire trip. Feeling blessed and proud.

Dry Ice Blasting undercarriage. My truck is about 9 years old now and I wanted to give the underside a bit of love in addition to the regular rust prevention. I took it to a local detailer in Indianapolis that offers dry ice blasting. These machines are not a new technology, but I am impressed with the level of control available on modern blasting machines. You can take ink off a business card without damaging the paper or strip paint off metal depending on settings. I found the results to be pretty impressive.

Wow, that is impressive! Are the after photos post touch up? If so, do you have any photos post dry ice treatment but before underside detailing?

Yes. Good Point. Here is a picture after dry ice but before touch up.

I wish I could remember who I am stealing this idea from... because I love it.

For the last few years, I have been using a Streamlight 88834 attached to the rear hatch for cargo area lighting.

It worked ok but the light was pretty focused.

I recently scrapped that light and replaced it with a BlackDiamond REmoji Lantern. I love it! Thanks to whoever posted this idea.
So functional with the magnet attachment, and easy to flip between white and amber lighting.

Lithium House Battery. I'm an idiot when it comes to understanding how how all of this stuff works. I spent hours looking at youtube and reading how to blogs. Basically, I wanted a house battery with ability to charge off the alternator and solar when needed. This is what I ended up with.

Battleborn BB10012 100ah lithium battery - fits perfect in the arb sidewing.
20220628_223644.jpg

Victron MPPT for solar input.
Victron OrionTR isolated dc-dc for alternator charging.

Victron BMS - Something to monitor the battery.

Local shop did the wiring.

Installed the ARB compressor on a Slee bracket while I was at it.
They ran power to the DC-DC

20220630_172252.jpg

The DC-DC receives the electricity and determines if the car is running or not. If it is, then it regulates the power to the lithium battery.
Next to it I installed the MPPT. I sacrificed an Anderson cable so I can plug my solar panel suitcase into it if needed.

The electricity from either the start battery or the solar panel leave these two magic boxes and flows to a shunt that attaches to the Victron battery monitoring system.

That is it. I had to do a little troubleshooting at first because I wasn't getting any charge to the lithium battery. I looked at the settings, called a friend, looked in the forums...

Turns out you need to attach the big red wire with all of the electricity to the actual battery!
