Fooling around with the truck late last night and realized there’s something or something’s missing or not wired near the passenger headlight. There’s something plugs not hooked up and I can’t tell where they go. Lights, blinkers etc all work. Pics for better description.

Isn't that for your side lights?

Could be for the side markers - do yours work? There is a plug on each side that's unused on US market vehicles. I don't know what it's for, but my best guess is that it's for European trucks with a side blinker (instead of marker light). The rectangular two-pin connector in the last photo is a head scratcher. Looks like the same style plug for the fuel cut solenoid (but different color). Might also be for optional or non-US equipment.

Is anything electrical near those connectors not working properly?

I tested head lights and blinkers. Everything works fine. Side marker makes the most sense? I’ll dig around some more and see what else could even be around there. Also I’ll grab a volt meter and see if I can figure out when it gets power. That might help some.

The random 2 wire with metal ends is the weirdest followed by the 4 wire plug nearest the headlight that has the blue plastic thing on it.

Ok I tested picture number two wires (with the metal prongs on the end. They show 12v with lights on so those may be to the side markers. My side markers are just lenses with no bulbs.

The third picture with the blue spade connector coming out doesn’t have power at any point (lights on, off, running lights.. I didn’t check with signal on.)

It got me thinking. When I bought this thing in January there were these rectangle orange lights that came in the parts box with this truck. Maybe those were wired up.

The plug with the blue connector coming out of it the wires are green and green with pink stripe.

Ok new update the blue wire with white and black wire is 12v with the ignition switched on. Do we know anything near the passenger headlight that would need constant power once the ignition is switched on?

Are you desmogged? Could have been one of the vacuum sensing gizmos that feeds the computer. Have you looked at the wiring diagram? They have color coding on there.

Do you have both horns?
The square one is for the horns.

Checked this morning. I believe the horn is aftermarket which would explain the spas terminal sticking out of the plug. Maybe the just s***tily wired it and it came apart at some point?

So 2 of 3 identified. Still have the one plug that’s 12v anytime the switch is on. It’s not hurting anything so I’m just going to leave it be. When I swap motors I’ll probably trace a lot of these wires down and figure it out.
