Because I am also looking for the replacement I am reading a lot about it and the schedule on page one is considered dangerous on a German site: at heavy load the thing might fail and quickly burn out:

They recommend the one below, I added some stuff to get all tests in one picture but beware, they mention the - minus to be in the wrong way, he seems to be a warn winch tech.
At the moment to much info to check what he says, should look at difference with this below one that is fine according to them: (if they are the same I dont understand what is going on)

The German is asked to explain what is wrong with the setup and he foolish replied people should come to him (and something like stupid people buying cheap parts)
So it is a seller troll, still have to see what is wrong according to him, I believe anyway the minus - shuld be correct.

Wow this is great info! I currently have 3 8274 in my possesion and im planning to rebuild them all over the winter as a way to fund other 42 pars haha. It really is that simple to replacing the solenoid pack with just this one Albright?

Yes.
The hardest thing is deciding where you will mount the single contactor, for it and the wires and cables to fit under the controller plug in the solenoid cover.
Bumping this thread because it's an awesome guide for wiring up an albright (or superwinch) contactor. Used the references and images here to wire my 8274 up the past two nights. Mounted my contactor inside the engine bay on the DS outer fender and used a 12voltguy in-cab control kit to make the angry pixies run around.
For reference, I used this contactor:

GLTHFJ60 That looks cool, nice setup, I wish I had the automatic power cut off from cabin, I am to cheap for it.
I can recommend a safety cut out, because the winch scares me, I have two red key power cut out, one at the battery and one next to the winch, hope to safe my hand, no accidental power, only when winching.
Also very cheap are the wireless remote control, I use that the most.

Being a winch guy really is better than being the high lift guy, but that was better than being the air lift guy, and now I am the rear diff locked guy, plus I am the front diff locked guy! wow! 4x4 owner evolution
Added the front manual switch wiring with a trailer plug, also attached a led light in the manual switch, the switch does not operate if the front kill switch is off, light is always on when killswitch under the hood is on:
4 wires: - minus / + plus / >spool in / <spool out
Adding the wireless remote is really simple while you now understand the wires.
But I am scared that when a chinese scooter comes by the interference winch control will take over...
So below is one cabin control, one wireless remote and one wired remote with led:

Yup! 12v to yellow spools the winch in, black is ground, 12v to blue spools the winch out, assuming you wired the motor to the contactor properly.

Well, my superwinch contactor is bad, won't power out anymore. Looks like the superwinch 90-14452 is discontinued, as is the Albright DC88P equivalent. The warn 34971 is bigger than the superwinch/albright, but it looks like a new version of the DC88P is out, called the DC88P-1000.
Has anyone used the DC88P-1000? Amazon link here:

Warn 34971 is larger than the original albright/superwinch 14452 in this thread. DC88P-1000 or Warn 98381 are the same size as the 14452

Warn 98381 is good for For Zeon 8, 8S, 10, 10S, 12, 12S Truck Winches, according to Amazon. So, it should be good for over 100amps, which is what a loaded winch will usually draw.
For the folks using the now discontinued Albright unit for the 8274 retrofits, looks like your older units are only good for 100amps continuous, if I'm not mistaken.
If anyone has a spec on the Warn 98381, that'd be good.
Albright:
DC88P-1000 is good for 100A, according to Curtis/Albright DC88P-1000 Motor Reversing DC Contactor in a Protective Case. This Albright data sheet shows that 185amps @30% duty cycle but the current vs time graph does show amps in excess of 500amps for a very short time is doable with this unit.
But,
Amazon contradicts and says flat out that DC88P-1000 is good for 500amp, to fit 6000 to 18,000lb winches. Check out the pics at this and also the same current vs time graph Link
My Warn M10,000 winch has drawn near 600amps fully loaded, probably from the outer layer or maybe one layer in of the cable. However, my steel cable is only 80' long on the drum, not the usual 125' or whatever it came with from the factory.
