Has anyone come up with a solution to rebuilding or replacing the wiper motor on the later 80's?
I have been going through old threads and a few people used the Rock Auto or O'Reilly's version with build quality issues in the past, but those are now also NLA. On Rock Auto/O'Reilly's/Amazon they all show Cardone options, but ALL show it as NLA/Out of Stock. So I assume it's been discontinued.
I know the Toyota version is also NLA.
Having read @Kernal threads his symptoms sound like mine, suggesting that I have maybe had a magnet come loose in the motor.
Has anyone found an alternative for replacement? Rebuild options?
Cardone's website suggested (based on the dropdown menu) that maybe the 80 & the Celica have the same motor. But without one in hand it's hard to say. Obviously that would just be for sourcing used on eBay.
Does anyone know if the 3rd Gen 4Runner (or the like) have the same motor portion at least, even if the wiring connector and mounts are different?
Edit to say that the part number I see for a 1995 80 is 85110-60141. I do see a few 85110-60111 shown on eBay as "new from Japan" from ~$300. But no clue if that's legit. ToyoDIY lists the same part number (60141). I see 60111 available from most outlets, but I haven't read anywhere else if it fits the 80?
