Why this stupid ih8mud forum software upgrade?
Why?
What's so much better on this clunk junk upgrade that is sooo slooow?

I have to wait and wait for pages to load or I get an timeout error.
I'm done!
I'm outta here!
I don't have the time and patience for such nonsense!

Since ih8mud updated or changed their forum software (XenForo) nothing works.
I have to wait forever for pages to load, get mostly timeout errors.

The Swiss have a most appropriate slang expression for such "improvements". It's a combination of two verbs.

"Verschlimmbessern"

Translated:
1. to make worse with so-called improvements
2. to "disimprove"
3. to improve for the worse

Literally:
"aggravating improvement" -> "aggraviments"

When did the change happen? Are you using it on a phone or something. As I said, all is working fine for me on my laptop.

Just to confirm:
The preceding post took over a minute to post "Waiting for ih8mud...."
Often I get timeout errors "Page load error. The server forum.ih8mud.com... did not respond in time"
Clicking on any menu takes a long time to respond.

Do note this was no issue at all before this "aggravating improvement" and it is only with ihmud.com

Everything is fine on my side.
Fast connection, fast and stable PC.
Only with ih8mud.com I have this problem.
any other website, forum, etc., on the web loads fast and without any issues, except for those who have server side issues.

I always get this rotating three white small blocks in the upper right of the forum screen and if too long I get the reset message.

Dorcom - where are you? I travel all over north America, and internet connections are not all equal. I can admit myself
that the new format is slower and a bit frustrating with weak internet. My home internet is minimum 50 kbps, and the forum
is sometimes still slow.

But keep the faith, man! I can't think that Woody isn't aware of some of this and isn't trying to make it better.

The new site loads just fine, on both my desktop and my Sony phone (and the network connectivity on it is a joke...)
You most likely have outdated drivers or an issue with your computer or home network.

Time to do some housekeeping on your computer it seems. I have this on multiple computers and multiple states and never had an issue. Even on my BIL/SILs shared internet connection at their private school out in the middle colorado mountains it still loaded fine, albeit slower than at home.
Only time I have ever had issues when there were actual documented issues with the forum.
