Just punched this into TireRack.com I realize that the tires are on backorder, but if you don't need them tomorrow, than these look like a decent rate.

Estimated Shipping Costs for:
* (5) 33X10.5R15 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO
Price: $700.00 for 5 ($140.00 ea)
Warehouse Location Reno, Nevada
Inventory Status Back Order
Shipping Costs $133.60

Tires can be shipped to a participating installer near you and you don't have to lift a finger.
The installation is about $24 ea. after stems and disposal. 700 + 134 + 120 = 954

If you get them dropped to your door and find an installer for $10 ea, you're going to save $80 toward your time.

Just my $.02

I missed Discount #2 - but Discount #1 should match that - including mounting, balancing, flats, cheap and comprehensive warranty available at any store, etc. They ship in bulk to their locations so shipping is cheaper than to your door as well.

Discount #2 is a friend connection I set him up with. That is not the everyday price and I don't think other Discounts are bound to honor the friend discount.

we are talking MUD terrains; ATs have always been cheaper

my price at Discount Tire Fountain Hills is $226 per tire out the door, just a tad less than splishot's Discount #1

I have 3 BFG All Terrain KO's in my garage - 285/70/17 (33's) that can be had cheap:hillbilly:

Must be the 33 vs 32's that make the difference.
GCR came in at $189, but that did not include mount and balance.

IIRC, Costco's base price includes the RH warantee. They get my business now, after Discount has tried to screw me around so many times. Plus, having to buy another warantee when replacing a tire that I already purchased a warantee on really chaps my hide.

I agree with SPIKE, their RH warrantee has too many loop holes in it for them to wiggle through. I've had my share over the years. Matter of fact I don't think I ever had a tire replaced by them under it.

I even have a better story... I took a tire off of an old vehicle of mine that had blown out on me. Discount was close and still open so I took it to them. They ironically told me that had I gotten the tire from them with their warrantee, they would have replaced it for free. Since I hadn't, I was out of luck, but I should see this as a reason to purchase a warrantee on the tire I was now getting from them.

IMHO their warrantee has about the same odds as being honored, as I do in Tijuana trying to get a free hand job from a one legged hooker on a friday night. It all depends on her mood, and if you do get it... was it really worth it.

I've been looking for the Nitto Terra Grappler 315/75/16. Big O had the best deal when I was looking. The price included the road hazard replacement. I asked about the road hazard policy. They said it won't be honored if the tires aren't rotated or if the tire is worn due to the vehicle being out of alignment...everything else is covered for the first year...then pro-rated, meaning after the first year they look at the ware on the tire to determine the amount of credit.

Anyone dealt with Big O? Good? Bad? Please share.

Howdy! Maybe I'm just lucky, but I have had good luck with Discount. I did business there long before my son started working there, and he quit 3 or 4 years ago. I have done a lot of tires there, as all 3 kids' cars have gone thru there too. When I shredded a BFG Krawler on the hiway last year, they replaced it for free, even though it was over 4 years old. No hassles. John

just for s***s and giggles when I was at Desert Rat for something else, I asked for tire prices and they offered a special:

$60 off BFG tires after mail-in rebate right now....

whether it's a good deal depends on off of what initial price [it didn't make any difference for me, and they offered no warranty]

We used Big O in Green Valley on our company trucks for years. Really good, then just got too pricey.
My buddy just opened up a tire shop in Rio Rico. He's an offroad guy. Let me check with him re: CSC discount.

You didn't buy your 40 in Rio Rico by chance did you? :hhmm:

Yes I did, about nine years ago.

Why do you ask? :hhmm:

Is it blue and does the name Dennis Healy sound familiar?

If this is the one, I've got pictures of it sitting in my driveway next to my '69 just before I sold it to Dennis (my brother in law):hhmm:

Yup, that's the one! I'd like to see those pics, and tell Dennis I kept the kokopelli on the grill.

Too funny, I had a feeling I'd run into it someday, glad it found a good home. I'll do some digging and see if I can get you some copies of the pics. Dennis is going to get a kick out of this

(I think I just highjacked my own thread:lol:)

Good stuff!

Back on track, sorta,

I spoke with my buddy today. He will be completely set up and open for business in about a week and a half. He said no problem on CSC buys, just give him a wish list and he'll see what he can do.
