I am in the market for a steel building to store some of my toys but I read scam alerts on almost all of the companies I find.

I made a call to US buildings to get a quote almost 2 years ago and they are still calling me at least twice a month from over 2 dozen numbers.

I live in Western Mass. so anything I buy has to handle snow load and wind. I would need/want something larger than 20x20 (thinking 40x60 if I can afford)

Thank you for any recommendations.

Morton Buildings do a pretty nice job, although I think they're a "pole type" building

That's what we rebuilt with, a stick frame with metal exterior. WAY easier to insulate, wire, etc. A pole type building wouldn't be bad, either.

We have a Wedgecor 30x60' steel frame and skinned building for a shop at my folks place.

If I can ever stop being lazy and get a house built I'll then turn my attention to another steel building for a shop. Very happy with the building. It's at 7,000 feet in NM, so it sees a decent amount of wind, and has the potential for some snow.

If you build one, after the insulation is up, put some sort of interior wall up to protect it at least to 8' Our insulation is just open, and any little thing in the shop seems to cut it. Would have been very easy to put plywood sheeting up for walls when the building was new.
