Who else is buying a new or even used when available (last of the mohicans!) 2021 LC 200 series as last model year?

Well, my wife gave me the go ahead to trade in her 2001 Mercedes as long as she gets to drive the new LC when she is up here from Texas. Even though her car was also used as a two passenger dog carrier, she wants the one that doesn't stink of dog. Now, I just need to find a magnetic gray w/ terra in the midwest.

I take those inventory numbers with a grain of salt, I found dead ends at nearly every single Houston dealer that showed to have one or more in stock, same for the dozen or more I called between Houston and San Antonio as well. All of them showed LC's in their online stock as did the Toyota USA website and nearly all of them were already sold or had paperwork done for deals once they arrived. It's wild how quickly it turned from $8K discounts like clock work on a readily available and dated model to an absolute all out buying frenzy over night. I am grateful to have found the color combo we wanted locally and for the pre-madness discount pricing. Fred Haas may claim biggest Toyota dealer in Texas right now but I wouldn't be surprised if Keating Toyota south of Pearland doesn't take that crown soon.

I get inventory numbers are often inflated or unavailable, but like Autotrader, Carfax, etc they're another tool for people to use and find what they want. If he wants a rare silver/terra trim, there is no harm in him calling because they have one listed online. Also, FWIW, Fred Haas was willing to do $86K + TTL (~$6K off sticker) for an HE 3rd row for me--still discounts to be had out there, even this late in the game

I found one dealer in Northern Colorado willing to work with the Costco auto program late in Oct 2020. Placed my order for a magnetic gray with black interior and no rear seat entertainment. Paid 82,000 out the door when I picked up the truck end of November.
I couldn’t find one local Denver metro dealer willing to budge from msrp when I was looking. But thats the Denver market.

For anyone in the Southeast, Autonation Toyota Pinellas Park in the Tampa Bay Area has a white HE 2 row and a white base w/Terra in stock as of last Friday when I took mine in for an oil change. I paid 80k even for my base 21 in late October 2020, which was a discount off MSRP of about $7,500.00... not sure they will match that now given current climate but worth a shot. If you are interested, PM me and I will tell you who to talk to.

This is a post to all, but anyone else amazed at how much demand there is for these now that they are discontinuing them? Is it just brought to the forefront as I am on this forum or are there first time buyers popping up that have aways wanted one, but not had the courage to pull the trigger? I already have an 80, but the classiness of a 200 is hard to overlook especially with the 300 being a huge unknown entity.

Bought two weeks ago Black HE two row in Raleigh $9k off sticker. Just hit internet departments through chat within 200 mile radius and someone will give you a deal. If they understand you are ready to buy right away what they have on the lot (no asking can you get me in terra if they have only black) and let them know that you are shopping for a best deal, 1-2 of dealers will work with you on a great deal. In my case would prefer to have silver or dark grey, but had settle for white or black as those color were the only choice.
If you cannot find one locally, shop nationally. Shipping a vehicle is easy and not that expensive or make a great one way trip out of it.

Newbie here with 1st post. I've been on the fence for a long time about purchasing a LC. I finally pulled the trigger and just purchased a 2021 HE. Very excited to now have one. Love driving it so far. Thanks

I agree it doesn't hurt to call, just saying don't be surprised when you run into more dead ends than not. I got $9400 off of sticker on ours in December so the deals are out there but they are getting few and far between because of the surge in interest.

Shipping a vehicle largely depend son your location and activity in that area at that time. I have been getting awful quotes over the past six months, nothing cheaper than $1200 on an open transport. You really have to shop auto shipping, right now it would almost certainly be cheaper for most to fly-buy-drive unless of course you're talking days off of work and a full cross country trip.

New to the forums, but have been searching for a nice used LC for a few months now and finally found one that I should hopefully call mine this coming Saturday. 2010 with 87k miles on it, super well maintained and amazing service records and history 1 Owner Car. I don't make the kind of $$ to get anything really newer or with ultra low milage but I'm extremely excited I got this and it should be a great truck for another 10-15 years!

There is a base pearl.with terra on the lot in des moines iowa. Been there two weeks now.

The question is-terra or black interior? I can find several black, but few terras. I also inquired about ordering, but am getting mixed messages on whether they will get filled.
I also wanted Terra and wasn't sure if I could order or not, so I just scoured the dealerships within 500 miles of me (online), found a few that were optioned the way I wanted, and made the best deal I could. I wanted to make sure I could get it exactly how I wanted it, and I knew waiting could drive prices up on me or make it so I couldn't find the truck I want. Zero regrets. I love it.

Really questioning whether I should sell my '16 with 60k miles and pick up a completely identical '21...

Basically would be paying ~$30k more for ~0 miles/5 years newer vehicle with a fresh warranty, and the small 2018+ updates like the power lift gate/automatic mirrors/key fob/etc.

Any one want to sway me in either direction? :hmm:
We use our power fold mirrors every day, but I wouldn't pay $30k for it...

Have one in New Orleans too. I had my pick between interior colors and chose black. The Terra is still there. Been there at least a month.

Really wanted silver on black, but couldn’t find it. Sure enough there are now two on lots within an hour of me.

Answering the original question - YES - no regrets! Happy Mardi Gras!

As of this morning there are 20 showing in SET, 13 at dealerships on the ground, 5 at port (Jacksonville), and 2 at sea. SET has over 170 stores, but only 5 are not spoken for (3 blizzard and 2 black).

Great data AJ

About two years ago I ran across a guy that worked for Toyota, setting up their engine manufacturing facilities. At that time, FWIW, he told me the LC 300 would have the TT V6. The newer TT engines, with touch screen interfaces drive me nuts. Was going to keep driving my GX, but I have always wanted an LC (we still have my wife's '06 100 although it is no longer a daily driver) so I left a deposit with Eric. My car gets built on 2.15.
