That's the set I have (two pair). I went out and double checked, and they're rated at 3 tons per pair, so a set of four should handle 12K lbs (6 tons).

After reading everyone's posts it sounds like everyone is saying that 3 ton jack stands are unsafe for LandCruiser use. These CAN be used safely as a pair correct? Craftsman is selling a 3-ton combo pack with service jack, the stands and a creeper for $110. If these are always used in the garage and on level ground is there really that big of a risk? I'll drop the extra money if needed for safety, but hoping I don't need to.
I used to use 3 ton jack stands. I haven't touched them after reading this thread (and a few others).
I would use 6 ton jack stands minimum. Better safe than dead.
I don't know about safety, but the 3 tons aren't really tall enough with a lift and bigger tires IMO. If there is a safety issue, spring for the bigger ones cause it's not worth the risk.
I ended up going with the US Jack 6T stands. I bought one set way back in 2011 or so, and then I bought another set a couple of years ago. I noticed, beside the price being astronomically higher now, that they used to be rated per stand, now they are rated per pair. The newer stands look the same as the old stands, not sure why the change in rating. I should probably call US Jack and find out.
At any rate, these are really great jack stands and I have, and continue to make good use of them on our many (heavy) cruisers over the years on a regular basis.
