Hey all. Last week I climbed under my FJ40 to figure out which front brake is leaking fluid. While I was under there looking around I noticed a drop of fluid on this drain plug and surrouncing areas. Any ideas where it’s coming from? …and how severe it is? I’ve never noticed any fluid on the ground except for the front driver’s brake that is now slow leaking.

By the way…. how dificult is it to fix a leaking front brake drum? Has anyone switched to disc brakes? Pros and Cons? Thanks

Your drain plug looks pretty dry. It's your parking brake drum that looks wet...
Rebuilding brake cylinders is cheap, easy and fun!

Why is it you can pull the drain plugs with the skid pan attached but you still have to remove it to fill or check the oil? 🧐

Cheap easy and FUN??? You almost have me convinced! I may go ahead and try it. Thanks y’all

i have a feeling those are more a witness hole, then service holes.
