Recent trip to Moab. Got in late and set up in the dark. The new rock lights were helpful.

I had sand flats to myself one day. It was awesome

Sadly, yes. Not usually bad, but...Google it.

"During the night of June 10–11, 2010 a flash flood along Little Missouri River (Arkansas) killed at least 16 people in the campgrounds of the Albert Pike Recreational Area. In a matter of less than four hours water rose from three feet to over twenty-three feet. Since that time the U.S. Forest Service has closed the site for further evaluation"

Wow!

We camped out in Canyonlands for a few days before Moab. I was the only one with an 80.

A lot of these pictures really move me (you people have some beautiful vacations and beautiful rigs), but by page 2 of this thread, these photos really stand out. You have some real skills behind the lens.

Some recent pics, spent one night at 10,000 feet but the weather was too sketchy to continue to stay. View attachment 906727 View attachment 906728 View attachment 906729

Nice! Hows that Neon holding up for you off pavement? I just got one and broke it in last weekend. Plan on taking it across country this August through CO, UT, NV, OR, ID and MT. A little concerned about its longevity off the beaten path. Would love to hear your thoughts.

Not as well as I had hoped, it needs some kind of real suspension with shocks as it bounces down the road pretty bad which results in broken stuff including my Thule box and various other items. The heater works well though!

Camping at Crater Lake NP and random Petroglyphs rec area in Nevada last week. I was very unprepared since I flew to pick up the truck and only had limited camping supplies. Basically bought a sleeping bag and made do sleeping in the back. No camp stove so it was sandwiches only. I did have a ice chest for beer so no complaints.

We camped out at 4600 meters (15,019 feet) in a polar wind at the second highest active vulcano in the world, the Cotopaxi in Ecuador. It was freezing cold, very windy, we had thumping heads of the altitude, didn't sleep much, but man, it felt great :)

Actually was first weekend in June. Testing out new tent and trailer setup before summer. Kootenay National Park near Radium Hot Springs. Big horn sheep everywhere.
