We were in 4 different slot canyons on that trip, Ringtail, Neon, Peekaboo, and Spooky. I'm honestly not sure where that photo was taken, I think it was Spooky.

This thread is killing my productivity. Not a day goes by that I don't think about heading back out west for another vacation. If only work would allow more vacation time so I could drive and enjoy some of those epic trails.

Location? It reminds me of places I've been in CA, NV, and even UT, but I'm going to guess WY? Am I close?

I made it to Ouray, Co several years ago and I think about going back most every day.

Definitely some beauty here in the east but there is a severe lack of public land for us to enjoy like you guys have. Matter of fact I'm headed to Blue Ridge, Ga with the fam later this week to take in some east coast beauty.

It is an incredible place.

Back before the LX we had two VW Touaregs (2004 V8 and then a 2007 V10 TDI) that we would take to Ouray Touareg Rally.

Would spend 5-6 days driving everything around there. Looking forward to getting back there with the LX.

Really liking the hammock set up! Will have to try next time out.

Yeah, the ARB bumper tie off point is a little low, the Trail Tailor roof rack is a little high (My top rail sits at 7'3"), but both worked out nicely and are "adjustable" based on where and how you park.

North Head/Sandy Cape in Western Australia

Went for a quick shakedown run after a few months off the road and a lot of work, just an overnighter to make sure all the bugs were ironed out, I figured if there was any little bugs they would show up on a 500km round trip, thankfully trip completed with no issues!

Ended up airing down on the road in as I new I would be heading up the soft beach and there had been some pretty big tides in the area.



After hitting the beach it was apparent that it was stuffed from the tide and piles of weed a metre high blocking off beach access just a few km's down adn short of the exit I needed to take, by the time I back tracked via the inland tracks and found a good campsite it was dusk, all light was gone when i had finished setting up and got the fire cranking, was spewing about the cloud cover I was hoping to get in some sky shots but s*** happens.





I packed it in pretty early and was up for the sunrise, had a quck fish but there was too much weed about so I had a feed, took in the views and a few pics and headed off to check out North Point.









Unfortunately i left an ND filter on the lens from the mornings shots so the pics from here on are a bit s***.








The Bartle Monument. Dedicated to a poor fella (Robert Bartle) taken by a great white shark back in the 1960's



After checking the bunkers out (didn't get any pics for some reason, I decided to hit the road, as always when I head further north I called in at Wedge Island on the way back, should have grabbed the key to the family shack before I left, the beach up there was in much better shape!
