MS Paint or MS Photo Editor

MS Paint or MS Photo Editor

x2 for me...I've never used irfanview though...

I use MS Photo Editor...Silly simple once you try it.

Open a pic in Photo Editor (you may have to right click the pic and then click on "Open With" if your default picture viewer is something other than Photo Editor)

Then, when the pic is open in PE click on "image", then "resize"...You can resize to a set # (cm's, pixels, or inches) or use the %. You only have to adjust one of the numbers and the other will automatically change to keep the pic even.

The other trick I've found is that sometimes the pic size (in kbs) will increase. If it does, just go back in and drop the size by 5% and voila, small kb size pic!

Sorry if this is basic but wasn't sure what level you were at for playing with pictures ;p

sounds good to me.... no harm taken

x3 on irfanview, assuming you're on Windows. Plus, it's just a great program for viewing photos.

X5 The Microsoft Powertoy Image Resizer is great. Dan posted the link. You don't even have to open the picture to resize it. You just right click on the file and hit resize and it asks you which size you want. It is especially helpful if you are doing a photo album or webpage. You can highlight 100 photos and resize them all in one quick right click. And it doesn't dink with the original photo and adds a size tag to the new image so you know how big it is. It is FREE which is another plus.
