Cannot see forum images? (1 Viewer)

Within the last week or two I've lost the ability to see images in the forums. Linked images work, but those hosted by the forum are blank.

Interestingly, if I reply to a post I can see the images where the original message is quoted in the text editor.

I've run through the usual suspects on my end - clear cache and such, logged out and back in, etc. Desktop, macOS, Firefox. Other XF forums work fine. Just this one.

There have been no "major" updates to the forum software in months.

You've tried a different browser?
Your antivirus/etc hasn't updated?
Your VPN or ISP connection hasn't changed? Or try using a VPN to see if images work?

"the last week or two" implies I would have an inbox FULL of members noting issues....but this is the first. Unsure where to start looking....

If I actually post that, the image disappears again. As you can see, avatars show up as do the ad graphics and IH8MUD logos.

As you say, if it was widespread you'd have everyone asking questions, so I realize it is isolated. I just wasn't sure if anyone else was seeing something like this.

Nothing changed on my end that I know of in that timeframe. Same system, browser, internet access, etc.

I'll keep digging to see if I can turn something up.

What happens when you access the forum on your phone and NOT using your wifi? I ask, since you have used ONE IP address for over 700 consecutive logins....

Or frankly, ANY other connection points....coffee shop, whatever.

No smartphone... Only a desktop.

It seems to be an issue with the ESR (extended service release) of Firefox that I'm using. Just odd that the images appear in the edit window when I quote them but not in the original post or after posting the quote and also that other XenForo forums work for me.
