Half doors are looking sweet! Can't wait to see them finished. Still on my ever-growing to-do list. I was thinking of cutting them in this shape

I like that cut and I like the curves. I am trying to leave myself with a ledge to rest my elbow om and not have to f**k around with the handles too much. If you are going to have two sets of doors i would just stick the handle on the top flat portion of the door. Or use a push button like a lot of the minitruck guys do.

I saw a really slick pair that had the push button in the old window channel.

Cool thread, some good ideas in there. Some look really nice, some look like a donkey's ass! Armrest is a good concern. I was thinking maybe a tube going across the top, but that wouldn't be very comfortable.

Been on trail for about three days and love the half doors, likely going to stay. The dust level has gone down 90 percent and the short flat area over the door handle is perfect height for your elbow. Think I'm going to add a little leather covered foam pad there much like the Tuffy box has.

For the front doors I'm just using the outside stock door handle. For the rear doors I'll probably leave the interior handle and exterior handle.

Trying to figure out how I can make some storage area in the lower half of the door she'll where the window glass used to be.

You can't tell by the pix but that lower flat area at about a 7° tilt on to the outside hoping that water would run out that is assuming I am on a flat surface when it's raining.

Bambi encountered on first trail ride with half doors. Waited 20-30 mins for momma to help move from much further away but wound up donning nitriles cause no way to get turned for difficult obstacles behind us.

Started working on the rear half doors and I'm making some inserts out of some material to make use of the door panel areas for storage and trash . I'm also cutting off the mirror mount part of the door and putting a mount for a cheap style foldaway mirror

Got both rear doors tacked. Ordered cupholders on Amazon today

Finally am making time to finish the doors. Forgot to take pics this morning; however, I have the rears welded up, including adding some welded nuts to hold the aluminum door panels that I am making to hold the inner door pockets. Got all four doors coated with a thin layer of bondo, and are ready for rough sanding -- all that I have found that is needed for monstaliner.

Plan to slather the insides with some POR 15 to reduce the rusting from the inside, then shoot the entire door with Epoxy primer. Wait 48 hours then try to spray them with monstaliner. I was not very happy with the spray method last time; however, I will try to thin it down some, and spray in inside this time to avoid climate variables. Just ordered some orange tint yesterday from @magnetman .

Got them roughed in this morning, and applied mud on the low spots, plan to paint with por 15 on the inside sections tonight.

Po15 done. I assume these half doors will be full of water at one point in time, so hopefully this protection will be worth the mess. Looks like I Gotta do you tattoos, as most people know this does not come off very easily. Oops. Next up is to finish Bondo work, then shoot outside with epoxy

Monstaliner applied. Basically half gallon of the orange and one liter of the off-white. 750 g of Mostaliner base made about 1 L with the catalyst and color. Have them on my mobile painting scaffold hanging upside down If they don't look right to you turn your monitor over

The moment you've all been waiting for.... Well maybe not everybody. Got the doors put on, onto the trailer, then headed to flat nasty in Central Missouri.

Got to the park, unloaded, and was on the trails within 15 minutes. Night Wheeling is so fun. Unfortunately dropped into a nasty V notch corner and the doors met a tree root. With the help of a lot of ballast, thank you friends, managed to escape with a couple tiny dents in the door.

I'm here I owe you. Let's plan it. Have a guy that can cut brakets. Most of the universal kits will prabably work well.
