Ok. started fine yesterday. Took for a long afternoon drive, fresh 93 octane. She purred. Tried to start this afternoon. no luck.
Turned over and sounds like it wants to catch, but will not, after a few minutes I know its flooded. All I did was change the oil. Now no start. I went to Wal-Mart and bought starting fluid..

So Im going try again in the morning, with the starting fluid sprayed in the carb.....

Any Ideas????

So it wouldn't start immediately after you changed the oil?

I would check the distributor. Perhaps you disturbed an spark plug wire etc while pulling out the dipstick?

Can you see fuel through the sight glass on the carb?

Ill check all the wires this morning. Yes, I can see fuel through the site window...I mean, The motors pretty basic...right..... theres only so many wires I could have knocked loose.

What happened to the points ? Just time for a new set ?

We always care... No, really............ sometimes we care too much. Glad you got it running.

Perhaps left the key on to listen to some music while changing the oil? I only say that because I've done it. Welded the points together...

I'd slap in a Pertronix conversion and be done with the pesky points saga.
