My guess is voltage regulator.
Wires are color coded. Look at the wiring diagram and see if they match VR. One of them would be white with a red stripe. Hard to read in my beat up old chilton.
I had the wiring diagram blown up to like 2'x3' for my 72. I wrote part # tune up and torque specs on the back and had it laminated.
Very handy for old eyes
