Yes, the little rounded tab thing can get bent out of shape when the eccentrics aren’t torqued to spec, the. You can hold alignment. Total Chaos makes a cam tab gusset kit that completely replaces the OEM tabs. It’s a bit of overkill… or is it? After some drama on a trip, including warranty replacement LCA’s while on said trip, I do not think it’s overkill for me.
Your link sums up my issues 1000%. I just experienced what this picture from that link is showing 3 times on our recent road trip. My last alignment at Toyota in Provo, UT was 2000 miles, mostly interstate, before the one I had this week. I may do this on the LX we just got just for the simple fact that I want to idiot proof it.
Actually, I meant the rounded part that extends down and can get bent on a rock. No affect on alignment, but it looks dumb compared to the one on the other side. These are pictures of the side that is good and two of the side that are bad. See attached

Here is a picture of the other side but it shows the entire eccentric and surrounding frame area. The bent area you’re referring to is still there.
Did my rear diff fluid yesterday, with the thought I’d do rear, front, and transfer case. Front drain plug was too tight, so taking to ‘my guy’ so I don’t eff it up. I’ll probably give him a 24mm drain plug to replace. Fluid in rear was like new, so thinking front will be too, and the thought of undoing that cage for the transfer case in 100 degree Houston has me postponing.

Best thing this weekend was finding some used Tundra tow hooks from this super nice guy for an amazing price. At $150+ a piece from the dealer, I feel confident I did well.

It is widely believed a clean engine is a happy engine. I subscribe to that therapeutic mindset, along with no engine covers.

.With things being so clean it does look like your Power Steering reservoir is a bit low.
Brake fluid is a bit dark…

Astute observations. Engine is cold - fluid level at min mark. As for the darkness, it and brake fluid are scheduled for service at 200k, so soon.Impressive, nicely done. I don’t dare share a pic of mine, she’s a dirty filthy girl
With things being so clean it does look like your Power Steering reservoir is a bit low.
As for those interested.... it is quite easy and quick:
1) Cool or very slightly warm engine.
2) Spray engine bay liberally with simple green diluted 50:50 with water.
3) Let it soak for a few minutes, but not dry because it will etch plastic.
4) Agitate with a brush.
5) Rinse with water. Garden hose shower nozzle is plenty. If you use a pressure washer, hold the nozzle far away from engine.
6) Repeat as necessary in the really grimy areas.
For most people, this is plenty. Allows quick visual diagnosis of leaks and other trouble spots just by opening the hood and a quick visual inspection of the engine bay.
For the finishing touch...
8) This is bizarre to most: spray a liberal amount of tire foam all over. Yes, tire foam; the cheapest stuff you can find. I prefer a matte finish. Admittedly, this attracts dust more quickly than not dressing it, but the appearance speaks for itself.
9) Let the foam set for 15-20 minutes while you're cleaning other parts of your rig.
10) Wipe excess foam away for a clean uniform finish.
Back in a 200! Feels good to be back! Sold my ‘08 a few years ago and have always regretted it.
Purchased in Seattle Friday and cannonballed back to TX over the weekend. There is truly not a single vehicle that I would chose over a 200 for long distance trips.
Quick stop at the LCH museum in Salt Lake City was worth it. Couldn’t believe the variety that was on display. Will definitely be back to visit.

Even after regular brake flushes my reservoir at 140000 miles looks dirty like yours yet the fluid is clean inside. I wouldn’t stress the color of the reservoir as long the fluid is less then 3-5 years old.

Took quite a bit of searching. The market for 200s in TX at the moment is frustrating. Most examples you find are very neglected and black interior. My only must haves were the terra interior and no black exterior. Worth the 3 day drive!
