I’m happy to report that my cam tab issues are resolved and the Kings look great. Ride home was hampered by the gear break but there is a definite improvement on the ride. I can use 7th gear now without needing to be 70+ on the interstate. I should have the break in done by the end of this week, I’ll do some short towing with the camper after that. We gotta get back in the woods soon, it’s been a few weeks and I’m getting antsy.

Is this addressing that little rounded tab that can get bent? If so, it looks like you cut it off. Any more info and what I might tell someone in order to have it addressed? Thanks in advance. - Mark

Got the oil changed this morning. Otherwise just driving it.

Need to get tires this fall...

Yes, the little rounded tab thing can get bent out of shape when the eccentrics aren’t torqued to spec, the. You can hold alignment. Total Chaos makes a cam tab gusset kit that completely replaces the OEM tabs. It’s a bit of overkill… or is it? After some drama on a trip, including warranty replacement LCA’s while on said trip, I do not think it’s overkill for me.

Your link sums up my issues 1000%. I just experienced what this picture from that link is showing 3 times on our recent road trip. My last alignment at Toyota in Provo, UT was 2000 miles, mostly interstate, before the one I had this week. I lost a full degree of caster on one side and half a degree on the other.

I may do this on the LX we just got just for the simple fact that I want to idiot proof it.

Actually, I meant the rounded part that extends down and can get bent on a rock. No affect on alignment, but it looks dumb compared to the one on the other side. These are pictures of the side that is good and two of the side that are bad. See attached

Ah, I understand now… the other bendy thing haha.

Here is a picture of the other side but it shows the entire eccentric and surrounding frame area. The bent area you’re referring to is still there.
