Oil change. Perfect funnel for slotting right into the Slee skids access panel hands-free and avoiding a mess.

Finally installed the panhard / track bar correction kit from @drkdss that had been sitting on my shelf forever. Definitely one of the quickest and easiest mods ever. I did not have to pry the oem receiver side away to fit the new component inside like was suggested in the install video (it was tight, but easily workable).
for the transfer case, are you planning on using the oem unicorn blood?
No way I'd use that, it's so crazy expensive. I'm using Red Line's MT-LV that they spec for the LC. I'm using Red Line 75W85 for the diffs. I know different year LCs spec slightly different weights from each other, these are what is spec'ed for my 2018 LC.
I got the rear diff done today, then decided I didn't feel like taking all the Slee skids off today. So I'll do the front diff and transfer case some other weekend.
The Motive 1745 pump was fantastic for filling! Just pumped up to 30psi, made sure to fully tighten the coupler keeping the red J-nozzle from falling out, then sat and watched for the oil to start overflowing.
The old fluid still looked brand new, but the magnetic drain plug was completely covered in metallic sludge.
I've got that same Motive tool and used it on my t-case and diffs. Worked great!
Changed out the plugs. Being NGK I don't think they were stock. Gaps were all over the place. Managed to drop a few tools. Found the the first two pretty quickly on the passenger side then started looking for the thumbwheel ratchet on the drivers side. Searched high and low for a half an hour then broke out the boroscope and searched for another half hour. Just about to give up and then spotted something shiny at the very bottom in a small crevice. Able to move it up and over using the camera. Have a nice headache now.
Also cleaned up the engine bay a bit while I had things apart to get the plugs out.

Yep, stock should be Denso SK20HR11 iridium. Depending on how they were sourced the NGKs may be counterfeit. Great idea changing them.
Anyone know if the LX570 covers fit the LC?

Started getting my tools together to do an AHC fluid flush on a new-to-me 2010 LX. I couldn’t find my headlamp, but didn’t think much of it.
I grabbed a different light and crawled under the car to illuminate the AHC tank, and guess what I found?
I had put it there when inspecting the car before purchase two weeks ago. I drove 200 miles home that day, and few hundred since then!

Replaced the HVAC blower motor under the dash. Now no more intermittent squeaking when the fan is running.
Did a small "tune up" with some fresh plugs, coil boots/spring and air filters in and out...not looking forward to doing a VC gasket job, but the middle cylinders all definitely have leaks in varying degrees...Love the placebo though, and the plugs in there were all Toyota Denso with close to original gapping, engine filter was fairly clean, Hvac filter not clean at all, but overall happy with all Toyota branded parts still at 212k miles.

@ikarus Nice rig! I’ve got the exact same Heritage with the same miles. What size tires do you have on those? Did you lift it to put those on? Looks great. Re: the LX 600, my Dad has one and it is indeed a beautiful car. My Dad said it is the best riding car he has ever had - and he has had almost every car you can think of. I looked at them hard for my wife but ended up going up with 2021 LX 570 for her recently. Talking to close contacts at Lexus and Toyota her in Northeast FL - there is skepticism that the new V6 in the new LX is going to be as long lasting and bullet proof as the time tested V8 we all know and love. I am sticking with the 2021 and prior V8 until I see a few years on the new V6 and it proves itself.Washed it, then 30K maintenance. Front/rear diffs and transfer case oil, oil change, air filter, driveshafts greased, tires rotated.
The diffs and transfer case were probably a little overkill at 30K but I have done a lot of Moab trips towing a trailer in that time.
Also fluid filmed it to prep for winter. We don't have any shops that do it out here so I try to remember to get it done in October so I'm not crawling around a freezing garage floor in November. Took 6 cans.

My wife has been talking about how fun it would be to have a defender or something similar with a soft top just to cruise around with the boys. I saw this '76 FJ40 pop up locally for $7500 and had to go check it out. It ran great and I've always wanted a patina yellow 40 but it was just a little too much of a project for me so I had to pass.
Then we've also wanted to drive a new 300 series (LX600) but the wait times have been up to a year if you ordered one. A local Lexus dealer just happened to have 2 on their lot for the first time this week so we drove them both.
Not trying to start any arguments cause I know the 300 and 250 are heated topics (not as bad as EV tho haha) but here are my observations as a 200 owner:
I liked the LX600 a lot. Felt really nice inside - the seats, steering wheel, trim etc. all felt really lux. I'd say it's a little more comfortable, little more quiet and a little faster than the 200. As a mall crawler it would be great. The fold-flat rear seats are a nice touch too.
But on the flip side it's not enough of an upgrade that I would trade in my 200 for it. I plan on keeping that forever. And the way interest rates are going you're looking at a $2-3K/mo payment.. not doing that.
I also haven't really seriously researched the wastegate issue or any of the other first-year quirks. I don't like buying first model years
Anyway all that to say it's cool and if I had the money I would buy one for my wife and I would inherit her 200 and supercharge/long travel it.
- or - if I could somehow swap the front end with a 300 and get rid of that massive grill I could see myself scheming something - but you still have the Lexus d pillar...

Yeah I think that's a good call. I know the first year Tundras had their fair share of issues. But yeah I'm a fan of the 600, I'll be interested to see how it does long term.
What have I done? How about a fresh wash for old reliable!
