Thanks for the info. No rubbing with the bigger tires?
None. I didn't do too much research but from what I could tell this was the easiest size upgrade without KDSS interference or rubbing. No spacers needed either.

I installed the mirror twitch kits on both sides, my driver side had already been done apparently, but I replaced everything anyway. I would definitely recommend removing the side mirrors to make installing the new under covers. It can be done with them on but scratches and breakage is more likely.

Put on a Toyota 5W-30 oil cap too. Doesn’t really “lock” like the original one so I tightened it to the 9 and 3-o-clock position. If it leaks I’ll tighten it more.

OEM Transfer case ground strap and OEM drivers door handle are next. OEM rear spoiler is after that. I need to take more pictures.

Put my Turbo8 skids on finally. Also did SDHQ brake hoses. What a pain in the knuckles the rear center hoses were.

Took her up to Wheeler Pass today and acquired a crap ton of pinstripes and my first bumper rash. The main road was washed out and closed so had to improvise and take some side by side trails to get around the closure thus the pinstripes. I was way too fat for that road.

Quite a few rock gardens toward the top and that was my first experience traversing that many large rocks. Probably will get myself sliders for Xmas. I'm looking at the SDHQ ones that appear to be fairly new. Curious if anyone has those. Although it's hard to pass up the white knuckle sale going on now. Buy they aren't my favorite looking.

3rd row seat delete. Those f*kers are heavy! I layered some closed-cell foam into the openings left by the mounting points to level everything up. Also looks like a previous owner had the seats removed at some point and duct-taped over the mounts. Classy.

I flashed the T-SB-0209-17 software update, and what a difference it made! It alleviated most of my in-town shifting grievances.

55 gallon trash can went airborne and nailed the side mirror yesterday as I was starting a 6 hr drive. The mirror assembly is tougher than I thought it would be. I thought it would be obliterated.

0209-17 is the reprogram for the MY16-17 8-speed transmission. Mostly common complaint is rough shifting between 1-2 and 2-3. My complaint was gear hunting in town like the computer was totally lost under 40mph.

Lots more information here.

I’m thinking I might look a little more into this as I have some mild complaints with in town driving. Did you go to Toyota and tell them exactly which TSB it was? If you don’t mind sharing, what did they charge you for this?

it was a big month for maintenance. my '21 is now at 116,000 mi.
1. new brake pads and rotors
2. new OEM shocks
3. new water pump (slight leak had started)
4. new serpentine belt and tensioner
5. swapped summer Falkens to new winter Nokian Hakka SUV R5

i should be set for a while
Where did you notice the leak?
