G,
I use Bosch titanium bits and I step the holes. Start with a 1/8" and then step the size up little by little. It will go faster and not dull your bits.

Tapping the 2 threads on the side were the greatest challenge for me. It just takes patience. Trail Tailor sent me everything I needed. For those of you who've put sliders on yourself, any recommendations on drill bits? Carbide? Diamond tip? Unobtainium-infused?
Yep, pretty high at the moment with nothing in it, should come down 8mm for every 100Kg (5/16 per 220lb)
I was gonna say...that's looking mighty high otherwise!

In the process of engineering to make it legal. General rule is total 3" lift in any combination of tyres and/or suspension is OK, any higher and it's an engineering certificate. Also rim offset is maximum 1" over standard each side, hence the +35 rims & tyre combo I have. +20 would have allowed me to run a true 35" tyre, but the rim offset makes it impossible to get approval.
