Wow, didn't realize how orange/brown those DRL halogens got until I took that front shot - swapped them for a set of Phillips crystal whatevers (zero difference in color temp at 6V DRL mode). I've searched through here quite a bit - I assume there is still no decent LED solution to this? Aside from wiring up the existing LEDs as the DRLs, if I am reading that thread correctly.

Mounted up the dual battery tray and air compressor using the Slee brackets. Finally making some headway on my parts stash.

Point of clarification I tried the IPF as well the transformerish stuff is attached to bulb fitment and is larger than OP7. I have the OPT7 Felxbeam "X" which seems to be knock off of the IPF and claims to be 20% brighter than the original OPT7. I not could fit the IPF in place on the driver side as I have dual bank battery charger installed between the battery and headlamp assembly which jammed up to the IPF. That said, I did like the light output and light color of the IPF's but did not want to give up the battery charger to make them fit. Both seemed better than OEM-

Switched DRL back on the OPT7's and they worked fine-

Got it. And when you say DRL, you mean the high beams since you have the DRL functionality disabled, right?

I'm curious if the brightness is lower at 6V, but not $200 curious. Maybe I'll do a bit more research and then proceed to forget about it for a year or so.

And I, in turn, was inspired by you.

I used the same Made in USA H3R universal fire extinguisher seat mount, but found it fit better without the extension arms. I bolted the main support platform directly to the large mounting tabs which I secured under the seat mounting points.

Added benefit is I could re-install the seat mounting point covers to give the install a cleaner look:

Very nice. I'm thinking of doing something similar. I'm conditioned from my old BMWs which have each been on fire at least once.

I really like those Labrak inserts. Now that you've had them a little bit, are you still happy with them? I'm trying to decide between these and Slee's new inserts, and I think the Labrak ones actually look a little more factory even though both are great. The factory fogs in the ARB bumpers leave much to be desired.

I like them enough I have put them on 2 cruisers in a row now (had them on my 100 too). Went with Rigid Amber D2 driving lights for fogs, use them all the time especially in all the snow we get here in AK. They don't blind oncoming traffic and make it easier to see me in low visibility (rain/snow). They also make really good shadows on the ground off-road allowing me to read the terrain better at night.

Slee's option looks good too, either way it's better than the factory ARB plastic inserts.

Can the seat move forward with the extinguisher there or does it remain full aft to fit?

If I pop off the extinguisher the seat will only go about 6" forward. So, with extinguisher mounted it must remain full back which is fine for me since I'm the only one driving.

If I like the extinguisher/mount after a few weeks, I'll order this mount: Amazon.com: H3R Performance NB300 Quick Release Bracket (Extreme Duty): Automotive

It will allow full forward movement of the seat after the extinguisher is removed. Of course, at that point, I'll have to control myself not to order one of their Halotron extinguishers as well ... the add-ons never stop :)

Went to my happy place today... @sleeoffroad ARB bumper led fog light upgrade and 40k service. Got the Rigid non-DOT approved light. @kevinfoutch said if I get a ticket he'll pay for it. :)
