@cruiseroutfit Kurt I missed what this Glove Box replacement was. Can you elaborate?

Edit - Never mind found the thread

If you wanna go reeeeeally non mechanical for those times you need light...there are tons of super bright, adjustable, efficient, easily mounted battery LED units... Or start by replacing the overhead cargo light with a brighter LED as I did...
What's some good bright stuff? Can you recommend anything? I need some light back there. Thanks.

Thanks Amory & Team @sleeoffroad for the next step in my build project. Top notch work, as always!

Warn M12000 install with custom fabricated bracket to keep control pack tucked inside bumper for a clean look yet easily accessible:

Warn clutch access:

Primary battery upgrade and tray :

Factor 55 Flatlink E:

Group photos from other Slee patrons and Slee's LX:

Front OME springs upgraded to 2703s - will provide updated height measurements separately (probably on the 'how high is your lift' thread)

For fun - my rental during the project. Felt like a smurf spawned with a micromachine but got the job done:

that thing is shaping up really nice!

on a side, having met you before I cant help but laugh when I think of a guy as tall as you getting in the smurf mobile :)

Well, nothing has actually been done to my Cruiser yet....... But I had a few conversations with Amory et al at Slee Off-road today and my Cruiser has an appointment to be dropped off and given a proper suspension setup. I went with their "stock load" 2" lift kit with the SPC UCA's, 2702 front springs, & 2722 rear springs. Nothing fancy but it'll give me the look and improved handling OME is known for.

Somehow I convinced my better half that at 96k on the odometer, it was time for shocks/struts and that since we were headed to Colorado from DFW for a nice spring break ski trip, we should make a slight detour to Golden!

March 13th is happy Slee day for me and big thanks to Amory for the info and recommendations.

Mounted up the dual battery tray and air compressor using the Slee brackets. Finally making some headway on my parts stash.

Kurt, the connecting hose from the manifold to the compressor looks different than what's usually supplied. Where can I source those. Ideally I would like to relocate my manifold but I can't do so with the current supplied kit.

Those are supplied with the Slee compressor tray kit.

The wood trim on the shift knob was flaking off so I spray painted it.

BTW is anyone using the same aftermarket head unit and managed to get the steering wheel controls to work with it? I can't seem to do it in the setup...sigh.

Oil and filter changed. Replaced the filter housing and added a Fumoto valve. FJ40 knob will evenly replace the shifter knob once I get around to getting a thread adapter.

Thx man. This thing is going nowhere near an unpaved road until it's mine! 3 long years...tick tock.

Wanted to let you know you only have 7 months until your 3 year wait period is up! :steer:

Been creeping on the 200 series forum. I've been a die hard 80 series guy but almost bought a mint 2014 yesterday. Kind of kicking myself for not stealing it. It will primarily be the wife's when I get it but it will get dirty. No mall cruisers allowed in my household.

I realize that what I have done is very simple and very basic compared to all the wrench-monkeys on this forum. I'm pacing myself. ;) But, hey, at least its not stock anymore!

This is for a 2016 which we've owned about 6 months.

Slee sliders (installed by Slee). ARB drawer system (left side only) purchased from Slee, installed by me.

KO2 285/65 R18 tires - on the stock 18" wheels. Having what may be tire/wheel issues (more vibration than I remember) and wondering if I find that the alignment is OK whether I should do different wheels and what those wheels would be that would not lead to rubbing or other issues. (I am checking the wheel/tire database - great resource.)

Planned: Gobi rack in about 3 weeks. Wired for lighting but still TBD on what lights I'll install.
