Ordered retro stripes from street-race.org. Not an easy install but it’s coming together ok. We’ll see if I can finish installing without screwing up. I feel in a little over my head but it’s just for fun so who cares. Here it is with Red applied, more pics to follow (or not).

I'm digging it! Looks good w the black

Installed a Lx470 overhead console with the ambient lighting in my 06 Cruiser. After some head scratching, figured out the illumination wires (used the ones that light up the homelink garage opener buttons). Now the ambient lights only come on when running lights are on.

Picture makes it look twice as bright as it actually is.

It's an illness. Why do I waste 3 hrs of my evening?View attachment 3659035
Damn, I REALLY need to do this. What kind of needle did you use? What kind of string? That looks pretty good. I don’t know enough about sewing to properly start the stitch and end it. You don’t happen to know the names of the knots do you?

It might have been a double blind stitch. In mud lingo it translates to a quad hazy IPA stitch.

I had a dead headlight bulb, so I decided to replace both high and low beam bulbs. I went with standard Hellas for both sets. They're super cheap from Rock Auto. I don't find myself overdriving my headlights in the behemoth that is the 100 series, so long life is more desirable the brightness. Plus, I can always use night vision!

And I cleaned and conditioned the leather seats and put some sun protectant on the dash. My seats have some superficial cracks, but are presentable. Hoping to keep them from getting worse. It has been about nine months since I last conditioned the seats.

I've been spending the past couple of weeks welding up my coastal off road rear bumper and modifying the 5th wheel swing out mount. Getting close on it, planning on getting my modified stop, plastic pad, and latch installed this weekend. Everything is coated with black SteelIt right now to prevent rust and allow me to go back and keep welding as needed without having to strip the coating.

I'm mounting the swing out arm where it will latch sitting over the bumper overhang and it's requiring quite a bit of redesign from what the instructions indicate, but I just couldn't figure out an easy way to follow the instructions and have it mount on the outside of that overhang... the hinge just didn't seem to have a good place to mount on the bumper where it would line up right... I probably overlooked something really simple and over-complicated things for myself, but I think I came up with a pretty clean solution, if I can pull it off.

I'm recovering both front seats with the LSeat covers as well, finished up the passenger seat last night. I will probably wait for the July 4th long weekend to pull the driver's to re-cover. No pics of the finished seat yet.

Installing my Dissent rear bumper and when removing the rear passenger tail light for the wiring I found a rubber tube and two unused connectors.

Anyone knows what those are for?

New calipers, rotors and pads on the back end of the 2007. Flushed the fluid too. Think I got max use of the inner pad 😄 Outer pads had plenty of life left. Bosch quiet cast rotors and akebono pads.
