Was going slow - loosening then tightening - was blasting them with PB. But still - snapped off 3 on the bottom row. Inc ofc the bugger near the firewall. The first two of the nine had like 0.01 NM torque on them just to belie the job ahead...

Judging by the four brown-almost red rock hard spark plug gaskets, no one in 23 years maintained this car properly.

We tried a vicegrip on one - very very slowly - it the further snapped off. Then drilled a perfect hole thru it - only for the torque tapping tool to ALSO break off inside there. Monday im getting someone in to try weld nuts on, and with that extra heat, hopefully extract them. Any tips appreciated for my the disaster i'm in.

I had the same issue a couple of months ago with my passenger side valve cover bolts. What worked for me was a combination of different size drill bits that I used to drill the stud after I cut the bolt flush with the surface. After hours of drilling and lots of patience I was able to remove the bolts and had the wholes re-threaded to the OEM size 6mm x 1.00. Good luck!

With all else up to date I'm working on the things that bother me. Changed out the rear wiper to a Toyota Alphard wiper arm from Cruiser Patch. Also painted the arm rest with SEM paint 15723. Looks to be a perfect match. Also, replaced my stuck antenna with a $9 ebay replacement and works perfect.

Just did the passenger side cam cover seal on my LX. 3.5 hours it took me to do the job that included cleaning and fighting the completely dried out seal and spark plug seals. It was more like plastic than it was malleable rubber. Original owner never did it and at 190k miles the oil seepage was pretty evident. Next will be the driver’s side seal, at least that side isn’t leaking so i have that going for me.

Pretty grimy down there.

Brake pads, one caliper and one rotor, and the Trail Tailor hidden winch mount and winch. Oh a sway bar end link that was broken. Also, this thing is gonna need ball joints or at least seals soon. Ugh. The Trail Tailor was the easiest part of the weekend. Great product. I love the look of keeping the oem bumper with that fairlead sticking through. The hardest part is figuring out where to cut. Particularly because the fairlead on the winch tapered as it went forward and I didn't want to over cut. The good news is that the bumper was already in terrible shape so it didn't matter lol.

Regarding the brakes, ugh again. It's a 22 year old car so I should've guessed but man. I broke a two foot breaker bar and a ratchet. One stuck caliper and one chewed rotor that both had to be ordered. Lifting with a hi-lift and Jack stands that were two short. Having to find ever larger chocks to keep it from rolling. I bet I lifted that truck twelve times this weekend.

Bumped the rear end up with some 30mm Nolathane spacers. I did this preparation of cranking the torsion bars while rebuilding the front end. Riding extra stink bug for a week or so. We just had our first child, so time is hard to come by.
 
After 2 years of searching, I finally have a set of 30% viper ceramic up front to match my bronze privacy glass! The tinter installing them denied they would match, then after all said and done he was shocked how good it turned out. Now I can finally be comfortable this summer.

installed AVS bug deflector on the hood to go along with the AVS window deflectors i installed last year. Also applied silicone to the sunroom plastic trim pieces where the seams are. the two plastic trim surrounds the sunroof glass. Maybe it keep my interior water tight.

Replaced the engine oil (M1 EP 5W30) and oil filter (OEM) today. Should have taken 30 mins but the Toyota dealership that performed the last oil change over tightened the filter and it took couple of trips to Walmart and harbor freight to loosen it up. Also, they used the wrong oil 0w20.

I tried to put the fumoto F133N drain valve on but it wouldn’t go past couple of turns. I didn’t want to force it with a wrench, so put the OEM drain bolt back on. Not sure what’s going on here. I installed one on my 200 (sold) couple of years ago and didn’t have a problem.
Anyone run into this issue before?

I would check the threading on the Fumoto, maybe you received the wrong part. A few turns kinda indicates to me a close but incorrect thread pitch.
 
Pulled out the transfer case. Getting ready to play with 111 lbs. of fun!
Did it in the drivrway. No easy task. I have probaby done over 1000 sit ups over the past week!
