The fog lights are just no name off eBay. The stock ones were junked so I figured I'd try something different. The output sucks though, mostly a bling light.

The 9" spotties though, they work REAL good.

I've been working on this sleeping platform/storage solution the past few weekends and evenings in my spare time. It's not done yet but I'm proud of the progress. I still need to build a drawer for the cavity near the tailgate and a face plate, and I'm going to glue in an indoor/outdoor rug or anti-slip mat to keep stuff from sliding around too much on the top. The rear pieces (near the back seats) are on hinges and swing up, and the side wings are also on hinges and swing up, but I did it in such a way, for better or for worse, that the wings and the cubbies can not be open simultaneously.

I didn't come up with this idea myself, it's based almost entirely on Treebeard's thread here. I've been wanting to build a system for a while and this was the first that appealed to me in functionality, and aesthetics and is easy enough to build with basic enough tools.

A couple of weekends ago we took it camping and I didn't have the side wings completed, but it was still much more comfortable sleeping on this than in a tent (especially in the Ozarks where there's never a flat spot with no rocks). Looking forward to our next outing and not worrying about rolling off the edge.

I've owned the LC for about 6 months now and this is my first post in this thread. Apart from regular oil changes, filter changes, and fabricating a front sway bar bracket after the AC drain rusted away the factory one, I haven't done anything to the truck. I'd like to give it a lift and the TB/WP job is planned for the spring.

Nice work, I know how time consuming these kinds of projects are with all the decision points/options/brain storming that happens! I like the pocket screws!

It's taken so much more time than I originally thought. Measure, remeasure, measure again, cut, sand, sand, sand lol. All good though, it's building a skill, I'm proud of it, and it's fun to have a project to work on.

I love my Kreg jig! One of my favorite specialty tools.
 
Recent completed work includes reattaching rear sway bar, flush and fill on brake fluid, grease all service points, weld lugs on spare tire mount, installed new OEM rear driveshaft, alignment, and tire balancing. She's running and driving better than the day I bought her, ready for Big Bend/Terlingua/Marfa this weekend.

And did a thing over lunch :cool:

Make sure you drive Christmas Mountain if you haven’t.
 
Oriellys Reman calipers seized after 8k miles so I got them warrantied. Sadly it started grinding on a long drive so it gouged the rotors. New calipers, pads, rotors, and parking brake shoes while I was in there. Had to do it quick so all would be ready for a fun Christmas adventure with the fam.

Sold the Rover to make room in the garage for the Cruiser. Although it said it prefers to be outside in the elements…

2011 LR4 HSE. Tired of dropping coin on maintenance and got a wicked deal on the cruiser from a friend. Although I have to admit the LR4 is an incredible balance of on road and off road performance all in one. Loved the air suspension and gobs of power on tap. I will miss it but not. Those who have walked the LR life get it, 😆

no high performance here for these rigs ;) but plenty of maintenance $$$
