22 hours labour combined for me and a friend. But yet to do diff drop and replace the torsion bars - that will be next weekend.

QUestion : Does the ironman coils not come with insulators/isolators??

this what 350,000km / 22 years does to a set of shocks.... But again testament to toyota quality that they could last that long - and the AHC still functioned perfectly. Sad to throw out it but at some point we all do, i guess.

I replaced my fuel pump with OEM Toyota. The old pump was a Delphi, and with 271k miles on this 2000 LC100, I've no idea how long the Delphi was in there. I've been troubleshooting some troublesome starts, so my presumption is the fuel pump is not as efficient as it should be. Peace of mind was felt by replacing the pump, even if it does not resolve my starting issue, which I've not yet experienced since replacing the pump. Here are some pics. Thanks to a YouTube member who posted video on this procedure.

Replaced UCJs about 3 months ago and, like most things in my life, I forgot to take pics. Used the fairly new to the US market ARBs. Bought from our friends @cruiseroutfit . Was blown away at how well they were packed by ARB. They have a grease zerk that can be removed after greasing and replaced with a screw and cap to protect from elements between greasings. Installed very easy, and seem very high quality. Definitely has quieted and stabilized the front end some. Will do the lowers soon.

Finally got the time to do the self recovery equipment yesterday, the Winch.

Upgraded straight out to the Warn Epic alum billet hawse fairlead and Warn alum billet Sidewinder hook. I am liking how it looks, it matches Dissent’s stainless fastening bolts and nuts. Just waiting for the red Warn rubber isolator which is in backorder since last month no eta when it will be available.

Dropped it off at LCS this morning with a short list of things for them to knock out ahead of Big Bend end of next week

Today, I replaced the battery with a Deka Ultimate 724FMF, replaced the rear hatch shock struts and installed OEM interior door panel retainer trim board clips that were MIA.

This weekend, Penny heads for the shop to have the slee diff drop, SPC upper control arms, Japanese 555 lower ball joints and OME torsion bars installed. Then it's off to the alignment shop.

I installed a GROM VLine VL2 in my 2003 LX470 with factory nav yesterday. So far, it is working flawlessly, and it was easy to install. I would have been happy with a Bluetooth input, but my wife was cool enough to allow me to sell her 2022 Kia minivan and replace it with a twenty year old 4x4, the only condition being that the "new" car had to have Carplay. Th VL2 has two camera inputs. It will be nice to have a backup, and possibly a front facing, camera. Installing the camera(s) will be my next project.

The screen resolution is better than you'd expect based on the appearance of the maps when using the factory nav system. For some reason, I can't post a picture. I got it down to 867 KB, and I get a message that it is too large.

Nice wife. Can she talk to mine?

Just saw this question. I did not have any problem with cold starts, warm starts, or otherwise. It has around 140,000 miles.
Thanks for replying. My problem ended up being an aftermarket fuel pump. I put in new OEM pump, and at 271,000 miles running like a champ again.

Thule XT XL fits better than expected on Prospeed rack. Cargo box is on for the ski season. I thought the Thule spinlock clamps may need spacers because the cross bars are so close to the roof, but no. The cargo box feels more planted with the extra bars underneath.

When I told the powdercoat shop “no rush” they took it to heart 😂
Anyway, likely here is one of the worlds smallest 2” receivers.

To keep it a “bolt in” and still secure it to both sides of the frame:

Finished product complete with OEM hardware.

In hindsight, just welding a 2” receiver straight through the crossmember sounds like a really great idea 😂 It was a fun project though, it’s rock solid and allows me to run a 35” spare in the stock location and a much higher clearance bike rack. The rack doesn’t hinder rear access with or without bikes so it can live on the truck and not be in the way.
