Went and picked up my freshly triple locked 100 today. Can't say I did the work myself, Sean and the guys at Land Cruiser Specialist know how to do something the right way, paying attention to the little details that make them one of the best shops around and why I keep on coming back.

Went Eaton E-Locker and only took a year of the stuff riding around in back for me to get them put in. While there they also installed a set of Ironman Foamcell Pros and holy crap at the difference compared to my 110k-mile OMEs (didn't help one was kind of blown out).

Neat and clean installation! 👍 👍

This week I noticed a slight stumble on acceleration. Not too bad and only under certain conditions. No codes. It felt a little bit like a MAF issue. I keep a spare MAF around as I like to rotate them after cleaning. The idea is to keep a good working MAF on the shelf. Swapped out the MAF and the stumble went away.

Now I need to find another MAF to keep on the shelf. The spare MAF came from a local part out.

Cool that you got it squared away. Last time two tines mine had a stumble it was caused by loose spark plugs and leaky intake gasket respectively.

While this isn't strictly (or at all) something I did to my 100 I did buy my wife a new Camry this weekend. When we arrived at the dealership to pick it up, I was stopped in my tracks by these magnificent specimens on the dealer floor:

This weekend I'll be installing my new flaps I ordered from @Ramathorn15, which should be arriving tomorrow.

Here's the new Camry just because:

I really like the new camrys, especially with AWD.

The new 3 cylinder turbo hatch corolla also looks like a good one.

I really wanted to go with the TRD. A 16 year old in my neighborhood drives one (can you imagine?!) and I'm pretty jealous, but the wife's 90 mi/day commute called for a Hybrid. I did convince her to go with these "Nightshade" edition so I could at least look cool when I have to drive it. I haven't really put my foot in the pedal yet, trying to give it some break in time before I do that, but It already feels better driving than her '17 Camry did. And of course everything feels like a sports car when you usually drive a 100 :D

I had this same experience with a rental Nissan Altima this week. My kids literally called it a race car! 😂

I went shopping for a TRD Camry in 2020, all the dealers that had one would only discount it $100. I ended up with a TRD Avalon, got it for a Camry V6 XSE price.

New front OEM shocks and Bora wheel spacers today. Both ended up being a pain. Tried every method on the top bolt; penetrating oil (for 3 days), vice grips, blow torch, old school leather belt trick, eventually just cut the top bolts off. Spacers didn't fit but through some good advice here, I cleaned up the hubs and took a grinder to a few high spots and they went on. Rear shocks and OME Coils coming up next.

Just got my 290k mile 04 LC back from dealer today. Rack and pinion Finally went out. First issue ever for this thing! While “in there” had them look at motor mounts and front diff mount. The guys all said they look great and no need. 😳. This thing always blows me away.
2022 will be my first year under 20k miles (owned it for 4) and looking to do some “refreshing” ahead of its 300k bday.
