Looks like your rear axle seal is leaking. They typically get damaged by bad bearings. Unfortunately you need some special tools to R&R the assembly since it needs to be pressed off the axle. There are some posts on here that go over the details.
Wondering if these are original factory brake pads. If so, this stuff hasn't been touched in 290,000 kms

Agree on the leak, but he's got a 105-- his rears are full-floating (notice the flanges in the pic above); should be super easy to get the hubs off and see what the deal is.
80 Series tech thread on this (probably not identical, but maybe very similar): Rear hub leaking fluid - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/rear-hub-leaking-fluid.889033/

Nothing too glamorous today, changed out gear oil on the rear diff and transfer case, didn't have a big enough torx bit to do the front diff so i'll have get one. PO really took care of the maintenance the oil coming out looked brand new. But it's good to just baseline it

Excited with my progress today: just purchased White Knuckle Offroad sliders for the 100 series. When they're ready, I'll drive out and pick them up. Powder coated, angled, with full top plates. Once these are on, I'll feel better about driving that's a bit more technical.

You'll feel good when you slide up against a tree or into a ravine and realize they saved you $1,500 in body damage. They really do work.

Got bored at work and decided it’s time to clean up the rats nest of wiring I have at my battery. Going to put my winch control box, a couple circuit breakers, and a fuse panel (maybe add some relays) to this. Just need to make a couple tweaks around the engine wiring harness

Interesting how different our experiences have been with the magnets. I guess the first time I saw magnets fail was when I was out on the trail. FWIW, I have wheeled my truck a lot since putting on the snorkel.
Mind sharing what magnets you got?

Were they like these?

Amazon product ASIN B08H5QKSQN

Yes these were the ones. Someone suggested them here.
Odd. I've driven into a large branch a few times now hard enough to twist the head and momentarily disconnect the top portion from the pillar and it just snapped back into place. All I had to do was realign the magnets.

To stay on topic; today I adjusted the rear e-brake. Now I don't have to pull the brake all the way back.

I'm told that having sliders at a 15-degrees angle provides more clearance. Any there any other benefits? I'm wondering if I should just have the sliders level, at 0-degrees. Does anyone have an opinion on this?

I need to do that, too. I pull someone out of the mud the other week and realized I wasn't set up for recovery, really. Got some shackles and learned they don't fit with the factory recovery points. Are these from Trail Tailor? I assume a shackle pin wits through those hole, yes?

I have the 0-degree offset on mine and very happy with it. Main reason I went for that over the angled one was to have more of a step.

Watch out, those KO2s aren't much good in ice

Yes, they are from Trail Tailor and are made with beveled edges for hard or soft shackles.

Good question. I've read that the faculty bolts are a wee bit short.
The factory bolts work perfectly. You do have to use the factory hook on the passenger side bcuz the bolts are longer.
