I’ve had one of their key fobs for my 4th gen 4Runner for about 4 years and it’s been great. No noticeable mpg improvement though.
I found them accidentally searching online on a 4Runner site.
Really cool! Never knew about these. And I would've gotten the same colorway you did!
They have several colors... pretty decent price and fast shipping

My kids said the same... LOL

My wife said it looks like a Transformer.

Replaced the alternator this morning. Took 2 hours. Was able to do it all from above. The one in the car had a remanufactured sticker on it but I could not find any records that it had been replaced previously. Going to have the old one rebuilt and probably sell it as I don't think I'll need a spare for a long time and I hate having extra stuff in the garage.
It's an easy job. I did disconnect the upper coolant line so I could wiggle the alternator through the top. Another interesting thing is the bottom bolt on the alternator did not have a nut on the back side as was mentioned in other people's threads.

… makes one wonder what other easter eggs you’re yet to uncover …

For sure, the alternator belt was routed backwards around the idler pulley too, stretched a ton, it's the perfect vehicle for just driving haha. Not a restoration example. Price was right for all the sweet jumps I plan to do.

Installed new OEM hub flanges. Took care of 50% of the clunk. Replaced the fuel filter and removed the V8 badge. (Thought the hatch was plastic and put a small crease in it. Not impressed with myself there)
