So the part I dreaded most during prep to raptor liner my truck was the windshield. Since I’ve had it a couple years now there was always wind noise on the highway. I’ve read many of the windshield threads and seen the scary pics, so I was dreading this part. With no rivets or screws present I figured there may be some major rust, holy smokes I dodged a bullet, after pulling side trim it looks damn good, guess the last installer forgot or skipped the rivets.

Yep, waiting on 3 bottles of tint to arrive, but there is a lot of prep work to do before that arrives. They sent 5 of one color and three or another, i though about saying f it and mixing them all, but if i want to do any touch work down the line, i really don't want to have to screw with getting the shade right. Mesa grey upper, with lower door and wheel well trim black is the plan.

I was advised to get 16L in black, even though UPOL says it's 12L.

I was going to start working on the truck yesterday with the painter, but the truck got delayed at the shop where it's getting the exhaust work done.

Prices have been fluctuating a bit. I paid $133 each for 4 kits and $136 for the one with the gun.

I got the gun to have it in case I have to do retouching.

Why black just out of curiosity? Seems like a giant heat sink…

Installed DD SS6 lights behind grill, these things are stupid bright, light up the foreground nicely and is very wide.

Also finished up my Morimoto projectors retrofit, i have them aimed and aligned like this. It's good to go, now just have to bake the light and seal them up.

You could bring up the right HID & rotate it toward the pax side. You cut off is tapering down

Correct me if I'm wrong but having a did drop on a stock suspension could help prolong the life of the CV boots by not having too high of an angle?

Most do the drop for a lift above 1.5” The key is keeping the CVs relatively straight- and the stock suspension does that so well, it’s not needed at stock height.

Exit 2866 and 1” spacer —-> welcome 2864

Rather simple work of 40 minutes where 10 was devoted to securing the vehicle on the workshop supports

Installed Asfir kid plate, fitment was good, didn't have any issues with holes not lining up like some people claimed.

Cladding/Trim has some fading and scratches so im sanding it down and applying some fresh paint. If it doesn't turn out well i'll go take it to a body shop, but it's just the trim pieces so im not too concern about 100% match. I'm using expensive clear coat to make it shine. This clear has a hardener inside that you break and activate it, not your ordinary off the shelf clear at Advance autopart.

Is it possible to use the factory front cover with the other two ASFIR belly skid plates? I just need something in the way to between thief and cats

How's about on a 470 where when you are wheeling it's an inch or two up and the rest of the time, not?

I'm replacing the 230k CV axles in front of mine whenever the rest of the parts get in, and had been kind of thinking about adding one of these into future plans too.

As I continue to prep vehicle there’s some things popping up, old drivers side headlight assembly has a hole and crack, so I ordered a new one. I guess the previous owner upgraded the lamps, anyone know anything about these?

Yeah those are garbage. Do a bit of research into the better quality LEDs. The actual LED placement is wrong in these 4 sides. Better quality ones have 2 sides and mimic the halogen lights exactly. So reflect the light perfectly in the housing.

I think so, but the whole set is cheap, might as well do it all, it looks good too.

Yeah, but cut-offs for airflow and oil filter is valuable too. I may order all 3 and decide. Thanks for the reply
