You might try a Garden Sprayer...Can you put fluid film in like an empty windex bottle and spray it? I need to apply mine but buying those cans cost a lot and it sprays too thick.

I agree. The rattle cans suck. I only use those for small drain holes that the regular undercoating gum can’t reach. Luckily I can do 95% of the car with the spray gun. It sprays so much smoother and nicer. Can you put fluid film in like an empty windex bottle and spray it? I need to apply mine but buying those cans cost a lot and it sprays too thick.
I used this. 9.99 on amazon, need a cup attachment as well and a 1/4" adapter for an air hose.
Just driving around and having a good time. Went to fill up and a faulty fuel nozzle spilled gas all over the side of the truck and me...not the most fun.

Looking to do the same. Any hints on the sound deadening material would be appreciated.Spent entire day gutting the interior, to sound deaden and dye the carpet black. Neither needed to be done, carpet looks new and there's no excessive noise into the cabin, just got bored. Driver's seat is at the upholstery place getting a new bottom cover, should get it back mid week.

Two months later, any complains?Actually,
There are four metal screws that attach four metal clips through pre-drilled locations on the deflector.
View attachment 2703882
These clips slide onto the leading edge of the hood and appear to be a very snug fit.
View attachment 2703883
If you look closely above, there are four 1.5" pieces of heavy duty velcro, that are oriented vertically every ~10" across the top of the grill. Mine were already attached to the deflector so all you have to do is remove the protective film and apply pressure to each tape for the deflector to maintain a very firm grip on the hood. The only other applications we made use of the six contact pads for potential vibration/wind gust mitigators at the corners.
Parts received for the install...

If you look closely above, there were no directions included for the installation...Special THANKS to @OwnerCS for providing some pics of his installation. His directions were in Russian...

I really don't know how I feel about the LEXUS advertisement on the deflector but I imagine a heat gun and a plastic scraper will make short work of it...
Cheers mates,

I ordered mine and it showed up with Lexus written on it too. Also, found the instructions in English:
I tried using that harbor freight gun, couldn't get it to aerosolize, was spitting everywhere. Did you thin the fluid film out before using it? Just did mine yesterday at the shop with a harbor freight spray gun I got for $20i actually use a harbor frieight electric paint gun to spray mine.

i like that you encased the LED strip in that housing, should help with the lights getting mucked up. So the plugs for the original running board has enough juice to power it eh?Sanded, primed, and bedlined the sliders. Forgot how heavy these things were, my back is jacked up even more now.

While i had the running boards off, i tapped into the lighting harness and powered a pair of 60" LED strip, they are very bright and useful. Drilled a small hole to feed the wire through

It's not visible unless it's lit at night, the slider hides it and it's tucked up under the truck.

Sweet got that hot link for your fellow junkieThey came like that $22 for a pair of it, the oem wiring has more than enough juice to power these and then some, they don't draw a lot of power, my last pair lasted for 2 years and was still working when i sold the truck.
