Nice! What awning do you have and is it noisy when driving hwy?? Thx, looks like y’all had fun!
It’s the ARB 2500 with the light built in. I honestly haven’t noticed any additional noise but I’m usually carrying a RTT, swags, etc. up there. We had a blast! Can’t wait to go back.

In the pursuit of ocdc lol. I finally completed the brake fluid exchange today. Pure clear DOT4 brake fluid in the brake lines and reservoir.

Finally got around to putting the control arm skids on. I bought them like...2 years ago with the plan to just bolt them on, but my control arm mounts were already origami and they wouldn't fit. It wasn't anything a little grinding and a little cutting couldn't make work (now that I finally have a garage, that is).

I won't win any welding awards anytime soon, that's for sure.

Finally, after many trials and tribulations, I have new carpet, front leather/vinyl and steering wheel leather!

Steering wheel off to Dallas Steering Wheel for new perforated leather + extra padding
Lseat front leather + center console professionally installed ($300)
ACC carpet from @dnp mass backed in mocha brown that matches the door panel inserts professionally installed ($300) after I f**cked the first set up (measure twice, cut once). $$ mistake.
Steam cleaned the s*** out of stuff with interior out. Made a bloody mess.
Re-glued some speaker grill coverings, have new grills for front on order, rears are here, not installed.
New door lock actuator motors for driver side front/rear too!
All purpose cleaner on the seat belts.

Up next: new driver door hinges (paint matched), install new speaker grills front and rear and maybe ARB Air Locker Purge Valve Kit (gear oil is moving up the line from the rear locker) and new Metal Teach 80 series rear upper links (replaces the seized 100 series links after 6 years) with new 80 series hardware. I have elongated frame mounting holes (somehow), hoping 18mm bolts when drilled out over the 14.5mm bolts for the 100s.

Also, if anybody wants the rear flat (3rd row) section of carpet + jute in mocha brown for any reason, DM me.

Wow!!! So I’m guessing you don’t have kids or they just don’t ride in there. Looks different and great!

Really looks good!
It’s a big job but worth it.

I need some advice.
I am trying to figure out a cost-effective way to deal with dried up PPC film on the hood, fenders and mirrors. The hood also have a large patch where the paint appears burnt up. The two options I have are:
1) Pay a body shop to strip and repaint the hood and fenders. cost ~ $1500
2) Pay a restoration guy to chemically strip/use an eraser wheel to remove the PPC and do 3 stage paint correction and live with the burn mark. cost ~ $800

I plan to keep the truck long term (don't we all?) and want to get it done right. My first preference is to keep the original paint but the burnt mark is giving me second thoughts. What do you suggest?

Raptor liner?

No kids, but a Mastiff, she doesn't ride in here often. The OEM carpet was much better in hiding the Mastiff hair. Darker brown, not so much.

Weight/space/capacity.
Small fridge.
Yes, very likely to the solar.
Giving her a test run to see how long the current set up lasts🤞a week.

Man that looks great. Well done.

My other car (kid's car, about to be...) has black carpet. My dog is a reddish/tan red heeler mutt. He sheds just everywhere, all year long, and it all shows. Medium tan carpet is best at hiding stuff, unless the stuff in question is, like, motor oil or something. 😅

That carpet looks really good in your truck! We've been selling a lot of darker carpets for the 100s lately, and I think it makes a profound change! Many will remember (from a LONG time ago), most lighter interiors came with darker/black carpet, but the trend changed to where the carpet became lighter toward the interior color. Now, many new cars are starting to return to darker, contrasting color carpet compared to the interior color (i.e., my wife's 2003 GX470 with tan interior had REALLY light-colored carpet, where her 2010 GX460 with even lighter tan interior has a dark brown carpet.)

I definitely like the darker carpet shades. Yes, it shows lighter dirt, etc., but it doesn't get stained like the lighter carpet does. You can generally vacuum up most dirt, while the stains tend to remain.

I don't know if you've had an opportunity to drive it much yet, but the mass backing makes a HUGE difference, doesn't it?

Thanks again for the order!
David

If you were going to do a timing belt and the original alternator hadn't been done, would you change it then and how much less effort would it be "while you're in there"?
Don't know if you've done it yet, but absolutely. You're going to have it off doing the TB anyway, and otherwise, everything else will be in place and in your way. FWIW, I found an OE from Toyota to be nearly as inexpensive as the Denso remans I usually buy.
