TIRES!

I got stuck in some very slick mud a couple of weekends ago and decided a tire upgrade is in order. Thanks to this forum I felt confident going up a couple of sizes so I ordered a set of Kenda Klever R/T in 275/70R18. They are definitely louder on the road, but not intrusive. At very low speed you can feel the lugs as you roll. Interestingly the turn-in seems quicker now. I kind of expected the opposite because the increased diameter should increase the trail also.

They're inflated to 35psi right now, and the ride is fine, but I find it wants to wander more when on the highway, so I plan to experiment some with pressure.

No pictures with this job but found an oil weep near the oil pan area, turns out it was coming from the dip stick tube base area where I replaced the o-ring gasket approximately 3k miles ago. Removed the PITA 12mm tube bolt, pulled the tube out and cleaned it including the base and the surrounding area that got oil weep and vapor. Reinstalled it back and used FIPG at the base to seal it.

I dont have any nighttime pics for now but i'll try to get some soon, but these little lights are the brighest slim lights i've ever seen, and i mess with lights all the time. From junk eBay to expensive LEDs to overpriced ones like Baja...these lights are the perfect combo of price, performance, and looks. They're slim, i mounted it to my crash bar behind the bumper and aimed them as to not blind oncoming traffic.

As far as powering them, i just use the wires from my factory fogs to power them, if you want to, you can power the DD lights and fogs using the same harness if you've also got LED bulbs in your fogs. The DD lights draw 26 watts and im assuming your LED fog bulbs draw way less than that. You factory wireness can more than handle the two lights.

I am gonna copy that now :bounce:

Went to start my tundra camper on Monday and the doors wouldn’t even unlock with the remote. Battery showed 4 bolts. So pulled the battery, threw it in the 100 and warrantied it out. The old battery had 31 cca

Just sitting at home minding my own business (I was a little bored really) when I get a couple missed calls and few text messages from one of my employees. Here is a screenshot of our text convo:

It was about 35 minutes from my house in the Foothills of the San Fernando Valley. He was about 2 miles from the road. Never been on a dirt road before, much less off-roading. He was stuck on a very steep fire road with a lot of loose over hard surface. He was stuck in like 1/2 deep sandy gravel. 😂. With his *ahem* skills and hardware, he did not stand a chance of getting himself up that hill. Attached are a few s***ty pics of the recovery and the beer he gave me to drink in the hope that I would stop laughing at him and just tug him out. I did not stop laughing and jabbing, but it was pretty short lived because it only took 10 minutes to tug him up the hill, including the hook up process.
