Key fixes from YotaMD... they were both falling apart. My wife wanted purple. :p

Don't do that. I know that I'd never use it except maybe for when I went on trips and the truck would just be sitting. Run it into the cab, there are plenty of places you can mount it where it would never be found

That was definitely my first thought. but I didn't want to run more wiring into the cab. Again, I'm still contemplating the idea. Thanks!

Put in stainless heater tees rather than OEM. 190k on the originals, no pics but one was like wet cardboard.

Not pictured are new spark plugs and new CV shafts on both sides, passenger side boot had failed so I replaced both preventatively.

Bonus pic is one clean engine bay. Had the work done by Tee at Pro-Image Auto Repair in Denver. Really great guy, super professional work at a fair price. Highly recommended mechanic for anybody in the Denver area.

We’re can you buy the metal tees?

Also why the screw-on hose clamps - any worries they might come lose over the next 90K miles? I'm about to the the heater T's as well so will be buying either aftermarket metal or OEM plastic T's soon.

The tees I used were from O'Reilly. Size used was 5/8 x 5/8 x 1/2, part number 84543. They are a bit smaller than the OEM tees, which is why the worm gear hose clamps were used. I am not concerned about them coming loose over the next 90k, they are on there quite tight and I'll monitor for movement periodically. Appears others on here have used the worm gear clamps for this purpose.

Awesome. I just bought a set of the same Tundra wheels, wondering if I should buy spacers or not. With the stock AHC and the the 275/70, did you have any tire rub before you put on the spacers? What about after you put on the spacers? Did you try fitting a 275/70/18 as your spare?

Nope and nope. I haven't gotten out on a trail yet, but ran it up on a few curbs to see. I have a full size spare mounted in the stock location. When first installed, it rubbed the panhard bar a bit. I posted a pic here: 200 Series and Tundra wheels on 100 series photo thread

I've been running the same set up for two years and 10,000 or so miles with zero issues.

Lockhart Basin for the second time in this LX—last time it was the running boards that got smashed, and this time's the death knell for my wheels.

This is the second time I've had a major problem with them (one is cracked behind the lip, but so far holds air), so they're done. They're discontinued anyway, so I can't replace like for like. IDK what the problem is with them yet, but I suspect I'm loaded heavier than they anticipate (~7500lbs fully kitted for a trip). Lockhart Rd isn't difficult enough (anymore—it was WAY easier than 3 years ago) for this kind of damage to be acceptable.

Even with all that damage, it holds air. Until the bend is lined up on the bottom, then the air squeaks out like an emergency fart on a first date. For a few miles I honestly thought it was one of the polyurethane bushings in the rear control arms.

Now to spend the next 3 weeks in the wheels and tires threads trying to find something that might work. Yuck.

Fuel Anzas. Never again.

Edit: I'll add my copilot so it's not just a bunch of whining. Copilot training is going well—so far she's giving me the proper amount of side-eye when we come down a little too hard.

That sucks. Those black Fuel Anza's are some of the best looking wheels on a 100 series. Scratch them from my wish list...also the fact that they've been discontinued.

So I think it's just my specific color pattern that's discontinued, the D557. The same sizes (for me, 18x9, 0 or +1 offset) seem to still be available in different colors. I have no idea for how long though.

Your color pattern is the best IMO, black with the machined, faux-beadlock lip. I'm surprised how hard it is to find that color pattern. Seems like most companies (Fuel, Black Rhino, XD, Method, etc.) offer a lot of black wheels with a black, beadlock lip, but very few have a black wheel with a machined, beadlock lip. I was at a local (Las Vegas) Toyota dealer's custom shop last week, looking for the exact same Fuel Anza wheel that you have, and their Fuel vendor confirmed it has been discontinued. I ended up buying some Tundra TRD wheels on OfferUp for $300, but I still love those black Fuel Anzas. Too bad they didn't hold up.

I come here for info all the time. Now is my turn. Ive searched didnt find anything. I took the risk....

Pretty cool, but please tell me you're going to heat shrink / cover those solders? If there's going to be a short I wouldn't want it anywhere near the airbag.
