Got my window vent switches to finally make sense!

Did you pry off the label and flip it over? How hard was it to get it off? I want to do mine even though I never use them, LOL!. It does makes much more sense that way! Thanks for the idea.

Nice!
I just ordered the same bumper and I'm considering the Smittybilt winch as well. Any installation issues with the winch?
Which lights did you choose for the bumper?

The fog/turn signal lights come with the bumper. The winch you do have to mount the control box on top of the drum and back wards to be able to access the plug.

Details in my Build Thread

I probably made it harder than it had to be, but yes the switch faceplate and label have to come off and get reoriented. You can either flip the switch body or the wiring depending on if you like wiring or grinding plastic more.

I have a cut boot on a one year old oem CV axle. The original clamps were leaking so I replaced with McMaster-Carr rolled edge clamps a couple of months ago. The boot is cut right at the clamp. This morning I swapped in a spare aftermarket axle I have until I can get around to rebooting the oem axle, probably this winter when it's cooler here in northern California. I'll probably do a bearing service then too.

this has happened to me TWICE. don't know if it's because the clamps were too tight or what

The other thing I would note about this winch that is pretty cool is that there is a LED light under that front crossbar so you can see it easier in low light conditions or the inside of a bumper.

I had the windshield and front windows tinted with Scorpion Ceramic film. It appears a little darker but the huge benefit is a major reduction of solar heat warming the driver and passenger and it doesn't look out of place with the factory bronze tinted back windows. Now I-70 through Western Kansas shouldn't be a scorcher inside the cab!

Rack and pinion bushings today. Found some poly ones from car quest after finding out the hard way that 98/02 03+ rack bushings are different contrary to the superpro eBay sellers listing.

On a side note I'm appalled that my TRD wheels are Chinese. One reason I went oem was that I couldn't afford a quality wheel and didn't want Chinese wheels...

I have the same wheels. They are well made and haven't read of any issues with these rims from the Tundra forums.

The all black TRD Pros are made by BBS in Japan.

Day trip, only about an hour drive for us.

Are those factory 105 luggage rails? Pretty nifty....

Yes mate, they were available for the 100/105's as an option from Toyota when new, I've also seen them optioned on the 76 series (pic below).
