Maybe wire them up with a cigarette outlet plug glue a magnet to the brackets, and use them for under hood work lights/moveable camp lights?
Great idea @Eyedaho

:hmm:I was going to suggest mounting them on the rear, up high on swivel mounts, for reverse and work area lamps...once in camp.

Is your truck a daily driver? Do you have winter in your neck of woods?

Will never be a daily driver. Not much winter happening these days. We do have some mud with off-roading.

The OD button suddenly stopped working correctly on our old LX (became a momentary switch that would only allow OD while holding the button in). PartSouq was pretty amazing, ordered the switch on Saturday evening, had it by noon on Tuesday.

Since the leather was falling apart on our old shift knob, and we had already peeled it, I figured why not update the shift knob at the same time following @Ayune 's instructions:

but I couldn't find a P/N 33542-20150-C0 in stock anywhere  so I did this instead:

Probably a little overboard on a 250k mile, 21 year old, LX, with SOR Tuff Duck seat covers, but WTH.

Beautiful! Where did you get this from?

Fancy- Pinky's Up.

It was one that I ran across (that was reasonably priced) on eBay, a while back, when trying to find anyone who had a p/n 33542-20150-C0.

Just got a DJI mavic air 2. Afterwards noticed it limited the 4K HDR to 30 fps. :(

First attempt @ glue pulling on an actual car. Practiced a bit on the fridge. Can't seem to get the pulls to pop out, not sure what I am doing wrong.

Can get them looking ok, but won't raise above the body level so I can tap them back. Weird, either rubbish tabs or glue not sure.

Had some DEPO lights retrofitted, however there was a slight mixup and they put the projector in the bottom hi-beam spot. I am contemplating either running the lights like this, since the projector is a bi-xenon anyways (hi beam halogens would be put into the top spot) or having them retrofit another projector in for a quad setup. What are yalls thoughts?

My truck is stock ride height and OEM front bumper for what it's worth
I have been wondering how that setup would look. I have been thinking of doing that with my headlights too. Looks like it might just fit together. I was thinking of using a quad set of bi-xexon lights, but I didn't want it to look to odd, if that makes sense? I bet as is or quad, it throws a massive improvement of light.

I installed my new sexy FTM-400. I removed Lexus Link and installed the head unit up here. Very happy with it! Will protect it from getting scratched up etc. The cable was just long enough, not an inch extra. Note if you remove the Lexus Link, then also pull the "telephone" 7.5A fuse or you will get an annoying warning message every time you start up.

I installed the main radio in my center console next to my CB.

Mounted the mic with a Nite Ize Steelie. I really love these things. I have them in all of my wife and my cars and our phones, tablets, and even my handheld Yaesu radio. I used the phone sized one for light stuff, the tablet sized one for heavier stuff. I have 3 of them in my LX now. https://amzn.to/3gyYwIP

I may install an external speaker, haven't decided yet. I was going to install the Yaesu MLS-200: Amazon.com: Yaesu Original 200-M10 External Water-Proof Speaker Equivalent to the IP55 Standard (12 Watt Peak). 3.5mm standard, 3-contact speaker plug. 10 feet of speaker cable.: Sports & Outdoors but it's pretty bulky and I'm not sure where I would put it. The sound does come through the handbrake opening pretty well...I will use it for a little bit and then decide. It is a quiet Lexus after all...

I ended up putting projectors with hi-beam only in the upper reflective spot. The lower projector is larger and is a bi-xenon lo and hi beam. The upper projector comes on as an additional hibeam. Installing the lights tonight- will take some photos.

Since my last post I have pulled out the center console and the dash and replaced some of the old bulbs with LEDs. I didn't have all of the correct sizes so I will probably be revisiting that, but it looks really good so far. And took the time to clean all of the button internals with rubbing alcohol. Finally all of the buttons work!
Later I changed the transmission filter and replaced the fluid that was expelled with Amsoil fluid and also used a quart of the Lucas transmission fix, which was recommended to me by the local garage.
The Lucas fluid is very thick, like cold molasses. I put that in first and I couldn't tell how much more I needed. After that quart I added 2 more quarts of the Amsoil. I drove it around a little to get it warmed up and checked again and I ended up using almost 6 quarts in total. The trans shifts really good, feels like new....
But.. since then I have been having problems with my speedometer.
Now it mostly does not work and I have a check engine code of P0500, which says the sensor is bad. But it sometimes works, so I am not sure if the Lucas fluid was affecting it, or did is get damaged when I took it for the initial drive to see how much more fluid I needed, or will it just start working again once all of the fluid gets mixed more???
I will sooner or later get back under and pull the sensor to see if the plastic gear is bad but I am not sure how I can test the sensor.. I am guessing if the gear on the sensor is fine, then I might just order a new sensor. I checked all of the connectors and a new sensor runs around $200 so I am hoping that it decides to work. I am planning to go for a good drive today, I will keep my fingers crossed.
On a positive note. I just received new cabin air filters and of course, since I have a LC there was none in there, but there is now. :)

Yes, please do that! how do you like them now??

I love them- got them done by HIDProjectors.com in NY. Sent them a pair of DEPO's and they did everything at a very reasonable price.
