Shelter in place projects. Ordered 1.25" Bora Spacers just as we went into lockdown. I got them last weekend and did the install on Sunday. Yesterday I finally got around to deleting the AHC equipment, 80% gone and Pearl is 50lbs lighter. Also extended the Diff x2, TC, and Trans breathers. Lastly replaced the seal on the fuze box.

Thank you to all of you on MUD. Makes all these projects much easier...

Cleaned MAF sensor and throttle body. I think it was the first time it had been done. Definitely sense increased in power and throttle response. And new KO2s (285/75/16). The change from the existing P265/75/16 was pretty dramatic. It handles much better now. I spent hours reading all of the tire threads, and I'm happy to say it was the right choice. And they look great:

Started a few different projects over the last week, biggest being a drawers/box that will fold over the 2nd row for a sleeping platform and a tail gate cover.

Today I purchased a set of seats from a 2003 cruiser I thought id bolt in, finding the wiring far different than I expected I opted to swap the cushion.
My driver seat heater was damaged and the cushion worn and when I priced an oem heater element I cried a little.
So ill recover later. On the contrary the seat pans are identical.

During my search for a spare wheel to carry I decided to buy a set. Ill sell the remainders in Denver area if anyone's interested.

I switched over to Mobil 1 Extended Performance oil & a M1-209A filter from Valvoline Dura Blend & a OEM filter. I also drained the transfer case, front, & rear differential fluids, and filled up with Mobil 1 75W-90 gear oil.

Nothing too crazy or expensive, just a JDM rear wiper to finish off the rear aesthetics. I had to use a little gear puller to get the old one off

Replaced the plastic trim at the front of both rear quarter windows. Both of mine had two cracks, and were making me a bit crazy.
Haven’t seen any threads on this but suspect it’s a common problem—if a write up would be helpful I’d be happy to put one together—it’s a one-banana job but much easier after side one, as are all jobs.
Pulled the window seal on the driver’s side off completely to clean around the window. On the passenger side I just pulled the back away to clean what’s visible with the window open.
when I went to reinstall the window I was like, “hey those look like rust flakes!” So I’ll be pulling that window tomorrow afternoon and figuring out how bad the cancer is.
NorCal truck so very very rust free, but the paint here must have been compromised and all that SF rain did its thing.

Love your R230. Get those giant black rims off it asap. They absolutely knacker the ABC and because there is minimal sidewall, if you take an impact with a pothole or bad bump they will set off your Yaw sensor and can even damage your hydraulic roof rams. (I'm a pre-owned Mercedes Dealer)

I hear ya on that, definitely have their cons, and ride quality have degraded a bit, but same goes with putting big heavy tires on our 100 series, heavy and stiff but we are willing to sacrifice some comfort for the aesthetics it brings. The aftermarket wheels on the benz are lighter than stock, wider than stock and allow me to run wider tires than stock for traction purposes so that's why i went with it. But no worries, i'm a mechanic, i've fixed my fair shares of ABC related problems throughout the years heh.

Anyways to keep this thread on topic, i've found a spare key for the truck, tested it and it works with the immobilizer chip thing, trying to find a clever place to hide it so in case i get locked out.
