Trail Taylor ToughDog Lift: Springs, Shocks, T-bars, extended links, rear upper control arms, diff drop, TB brackets, alignment… the whole jam. This truck rides amazing. BIG tip here for you with your ToughDogs: put some clear wrap around the lower cylinder of the rear shocks. I have the 45 rears and they will "pit" like crazy and start to rust once you start going down gravel roads. The paint is very thin and offers little protection at all. I have buddies with IronMan ProFoams that show zero signs of pitting and rust. Once I noticed mine pitting and rusting, I removed them, sanded them, sprayed them with a self etching primer and then applied some clear LuminX film (the stuff people put on their headlights to protect against rock chips). Either do that or get the lower shock protectors from Jason as well. None of that effects the shock performance of course and I do think the ToughDogs are the absolute bees knees when it comes to off and on-road performance. My 53mm Ralph fronts don't have the same issue.

I thought it was just mine. A little glad it's not. I think I'll do exactly what you mentioned.

Today I remembered how fricken gross gear oil smells. I did the 3 diffs about 20-25k miles ago. I had water get in the rear breather during a trail ride a while ago so it was a good time to get that cleared out. Looked gross coming out, but was happy to see the other 2 were still very clean. I'll extend the breathers now so they'll all 3 stay nice and clean.

Also did an oil change and lubed by shafts and u-joints. Tire rotation tomorrow, trans drain/fill during the week, and hopefully diff bushings this weekend before a trail trip next weekend.
 
Found a pair on ebay for cheap... OEM. There are a bunch of non-OEM sets on ebay for very very cheap.



antenna is from www.TheAntennaSource.com - they make a shorty 7'' version that comes with the conversion kit, as well as an M6 threaded 31'' mast that is the OEM mast.
How's the reception on that Amazon shorty mast? I need to replace my bent retractable again and considering this same mast.

What RTT are you using? How was it with the family? We have yet to camp since having our first kid 6 months ago and are trying to plan the best solution going forward. We've been sleeping in the Cruiser but that won't be an option anymore with the growing family.

@TheAshenWolf it's a the Smittybilt XL tent. Fits the 4 of us just fine. My girls are 5 and 9, and my wife and I are not large people - for what it's worth. We went with the Smittybilt based on price-point and limited usage. We have a Jayco travel trailer for most of our camping, but wanted to try something new and have a good option for trips off the beaten path. So far we love it. The mattress is garbage, but everything I have read tells me they all are. We throw a 2" memory foam topper on top and it's pretty comfy.
 
Turned it into a hovercraft for a 5-tire rotation.

Sometimes I try to weasel my way into having a rotation done while I'm at my suspension shop under the guise of having them balanced. Too bad I just had them balanced a few weeks back, so I had to do it this time.

I pressure washed the undercarriage with the tires out of the way. It's fascinating how much mud will cling to parts even hundreds and thousands of miles down the road.

Also, for those without rusty trucks, what can I use to give my bottom side a nice coating? All the parts are very clean, just chalky looking.

When we detailed a few "show Jeeps" at my work, we just used a regular trim/tire dressing on all the visible undercarriage parts (axles, suspension, all in the wheel wells). Made everything look brand new, all the dull black paint just comes to life.

This is the one I really love using:

Dilute it 1:1 with water so it's not too shiny. Just literally spray the heck out of everything, initially it will have some runs and look milky, but let it cure for ten minutes, it magically evens out and looks incredible.

This is the product I would use "just for looks", if you want actual rust protection, then Fluid Film or Amsoil HDMP is what I'd use.
 
Properly installed my windshield moudling. My 100 was yet another victim of an ignorant, apathetic windshield installer. Moulding was secured by 0 OEM rivets, 3 large screws, along with 3 additional holes drilled into the A pillar.

Driver side complete with 4 OEM rivets (top moulding piece that lays over rivets not yet installed)
