The de-blinging is moving along... Plasti-dipped all the gold. Which then expanded to the entire grill. I’ll probably keep going and turn all the chrome matte black.

Also replaced a couple very weary hood struts with a pair off of Amazon. They were pretty cheap at about $29 for the pair. We’ll see how they hold up.

Dude, your engine bay looks new. Wow.

Thanks @crimsonaudio,

It was impeccably maintained and garaged before I had it. Never off road (yet). So I’m just keeping up with keeping it clean..

Replaced engine mounts and transfer case mount. At 80k the old ones looked ok but both engine mounts had one side of rubber separated from metal. It made a difference.

Finally found a decent LX right in my hood! 2004 LX470 150K miles, pretty decent maintenance records and awesome shape. Paid $15,300 for those of you looking. Took me 3 months to find it and it fell right in my lap :)

Timing Belt has been done, but can't find anything on the Heater T's. They are first on the list.

Just got done putting my 30mm rear spacers in and jacking the front torsions, followed by an alignment. Suprisingly only the tow was off a bit. Got my hands on some duplicolor gloss black dip and did the grill, wheels and rear vents. Looks like a totally different truck now. Pretty happy so far wheels may need another coat or 2 in the future.

Did the front driveshaft u-joints 2 weeks ago. So, of course, that would mean the rear driveshaft u-joints would go out. Replaced them last night. Checked rear diff and noticed fluid was a "tad" low. Topped off with some more Mobil1 75w-90 LSD fluid and all seems right as rain now. Waiting for my S-Pod to arrive so I can have fun with "electrical" doo-dads.

Properly washed and detailed the car for the first time since i got it almost 5 months ago. I decided to skip the polish for now, the paint already looked great post clay. I may polish the truck after the winter is over, i dont like to do my entire detail routine in 1 pass.
Meguiars Gold Class wash with 2 buckets (microfiber mitt)
Dried with Meguiars Quick Detailer and waffle weave
Clayed entire truck
Quick wax for front bumper

I had these guys make it. Forgot the font and size but I could probably dig it up if you like. Unless you're talking about the one on the rear. That was just AmazonView attachment 1643248
Looking at the site you linked, it looks like you did the 52" wide one. Do you know how tall the decal was that you got? In that same vein, do you feel like the height of the letters you have impacts visibility?

Looking at the following for my truck:

Can't find my order info any longer but the letters are 3" tall. No issues with visibility. I snapped a pic at head height, I'm 6ft.
