Got around to installing my Rough Country 20" Black Series light bar. Can't wait for it to get dark here to go bother the neighbors

Super easy to install on @benc Dissent front bumper.

@COGerding ... how you liking that Dissent? I'm thinking of that exact bumper for my 98 LX
@geanes can't say enough good things about this bumper. I went out to CA to have Ben install it about a month ago and I have been getting compliments in parking lots and gas stations ever since. I think the combination of aesthetic and function is top of class. I wouldn't hesitate at all at pulling the trigger. Looks like you are on the HIH7 thread. I'll be going - if you are as well - come find me if you want to see it in person!

Man, I wish I were going to HIH this year. Definitely signing up for 2018. I bought my 98 LX just this past March and didn't discover HIH until too late :( Added MetalTech sliders in May and just put on the Gamiviti rack last month when I went up to CO. Headed up there again in August to hit Great Sand Dunes, Gunnison and loop down to Ouray/Silverton to hit the big passes.

I was debating between the TJM T13 and the Dissent (with bullbar like yours). But, I've settled on the Dissent (best looking bumper by far). Your setup is exactly like I want with the bullet leds and 3x3s. I'd have it ordered already, but had to get new tires for the rig (swapping out the TerraGrapplers 285/65/18 for the KO2s 275/70/18.....got a screw in 2 of the tires where DiscountTire won't repair).

Swapped in 9011 & 9012 HIR bulbs, new CV clamps installed, and replaced failed hose clamp to fix the exhaust rattle. Christmas in July thanks to @benc ! Off to powder coat shortly

Details on the pearl job?

I couldn't figure this out man but looks so cool. Please share what are the slots for.

More info on this please! Nice!

So I used the products from automotivetouchups.com. The pearl is a three step process which I was very worried about. Prep and patience is definitely the key to good results. Overall three coats of primer, three coats base coat, three coats of mid coat and three coats of clear. If I ever do it again, I'd skip the primer product and just use rustoleum. I used the rustoleum on the center section of the bumper and it required zero sanding, had great coverage and layer down perfect. The finished product looks identical to the one wing I've got done. Their primer requires sanding....not even an option.

Oh and started my rims today too. One at a time....it'll be slow and my truck gonna look weird for a while LOL.

Dropped a 3" of 3/8" clear vinyl tubing in the transfer case. I gave up after 10+ hours of trying to dig out.

The vinyl is stuck two inches directly under the fill hole. Unless God's performing miracles I have to drop it.

Open to ideas for those who have 'em ...

Do you have one of those expanding clamp grabber thinggys? It has a button on the back, really thin and flexable. Might work.

Had to get new tires. My old ones were gashed and torn. Cranked my T bars a little and installed my heavy rear coils to pull the tent trailer to HIH. Also, installed the new trailer brake control.

Yes, the 'mechanical fingers' play didn't work. They're too long - I need something that'll drop down immediately after getting into the TC.
